Xu Xinduo lowered her head and drowned in her thoughts, but before she could get too lost in them, she heard Shao Qinghe saying in a soft voice, “You better prepare yourself for an incoming storm.”
“Hmm?”
“Look behind you.”
Xu Xinduo looked back and saw Tong Yan standing not far away. His hands were buried in the pockets of his jacket and his chin was covered by the neckline of the same jacket. He was looking at them with a gloomy and dark expression.
Shao Qinghe couldn’t help but smile when he saw Tong Yan’s expression. He said as he fled the scene, “I’m going skiing, but you need to think about it for yourself— the choice of prioritising a relationship with him, or prioritising your career. After all, the impacts of breaking the contract will not just be restricted to liquidated damages.”
“I know.”
If Xu Xinduo broke her contract as soon as she entered the entertainment industry, the risk of having the same industry reject her in the future would be the main impact of the consequences; liquidated damages were of secondary importance.
Who would want to work with a model who could not follow a contract?
Should the fact that her relationship with Tong Yan be discovered during the contract activation period, it would directly end her career. With that, all of her training would be in vain.

Shao Qinghe stopped talking and turned around to go skiing. However, he was not very skilled. He tried hard for a long time but only managed to ski for a little more than ten meters away.
Xu Xinduo walked towards Tong Yan at this time. Remaining silent, Tong Yan walked out of the ski resort side by side with Xu Xinduo.
As the two of them walked, only the sound of rustling clothes could be heard, but Xu Xinduo gradually began to feel uneasy.
Tong Yan was rarely this silent.
When they reached the rest area in the corridor that wasn’t populated with many people, Tong Yan made Xu Xinduo sit down on the sofa. He then unzipped his coat and crouched in front of her.
He took off Xu Xinduo’s shoes, taking her feet into his arms before wrapping them in his jacket. He asked her angrily, “You’re not cold anymore, are you?”
“I was just teaching him how to ski for a while; it’s nothing serious,” Xu Xinduo said in a soft voice. She only helped Shao Qinghe for around 10 minutes.
“There are so many people out there who are eligible to teach him, so why couldn’t he find someone else? Why were the two of you alone? Why are you out with him at this late hour?”
“I met him at the restaurant.”
“I wanted to take you to dinner, but you didn’t want to. Then, you decided to have dinner with him?”
“I didn’t eat with him; I ran into him. I saw that his condition was not right. It seemed that he was about to jump and commit suicide so I went to talk to him.”
Tong Yan was very puzzled and asked, “Is Shao Qinghe terminally ill and going to die soon? Why does he want to commit suicide?”
“Although I can’t tell you the exact reason, I can only comment that his situation now is rather pitiful.”
“Xu Xinduo, I am also in a very pitiful situation—I am feeling so conflicted because of you!”
Xu Xinduo thought about it and replied, “Tong Yan, I have a contract.”
“I know!”
