776 Could It Be an Ambush?
Even then, Elder Nie still held himself together. “Who’s the person who has been hiding this entire time? Who was the one who had helped you ambush us?” he snarled, trying to search for anyone hiding behind President Tan.
Could it be that this person was also an expert?
Another man from the Inner Pavillion must’ve decided to join forces with Yao Tang and her two companions to target them!
This was to set them up!
Perhaps the people in the Cabinet had long known about Yao Tang’s talents. They must’ve taught her everything she needed to know. It was why he himself couldn’t defeat her even if he tried.

Elder Nie gritted her teeth. He struggled to use the power he had left to control the remaining men around him, trying to buy some more time.
He needed to negotiate with them.
“It’s just us.” Yao Tang chuckled. “No one else.”

If there were no one else, then how could these men just drop and roll like that? There must be someone controlling them behind the scenes.
And it obviously wasn’t Yao Tang!
“You still want to hide this from me?” he snapped. “If it’s not you, then it’s obviously someone else.”
“I think you’re looking for me.”
Suddenly, a voice echoed throughout the forest.
That voice belonged to none other than President Tan himself.
There was a hint of surprise and pride in his voice and face. President Tan patted his chest, looking as if he still couldn’t believe it. Elder Nie whirled around in surprise.
“What?”
What was going on?
He frowned, trying to utilize his own spiritual power to check on the man, only to see that he really had it! It really was him.
But how was that possible?
He had checked the two earlier, and they didn’t have any spiritual power then. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been beaten up so badly. In fact, the man spent his entire time waving his stick around and hiding behind his student!
How could he have this?
“Thank you, Elder Nie, for allowing my master to activate his power. How do you think I should thank you?”
Yao Tang’s eyes glinted.
Elder Nie could feel his own blood trickling down his skin, and he gritted his teeth. For someone who was so obsessed with cleanliness, this was a fate worse than death.
However, what made him most uncomfortable was that he was the one who had actually helped President Tan ascend to their ranks!

He was like an excited fool.
He chucked the stick from his hands and stared up at his father with bright and hopeful eyes.
President Tan grinned. “Do you think everyone’s power can be activated?” he teased. “You don’t even have a talent in the arts, and you think you can activate your power?”
Tan Jian frowned. Well, that meant he was back with his stick.
