At that moment, a bald man with a sharp knife appeared right behind Tan Jian. The man smirked, raising his blade as if he was about to strike.
However, Tan Jian was far too busy sparring with the man in front of him to notice him.
He grinned wolfishly.
If he had managed to stab him, then the man would either die from the sudden impact or sustain an injury that would follow him for the rest of his life.
Yao Tang, who had been hiding in the dark, also caught sight of the blade in the man’s hand. She was just about to make her move, but something unexpected transpired.

The men surrounding President Tan dropped to the ground. All of them were clutching their heads as they clawed down to the side of their ears, looking as if they were being tortured mentally.

A sweet voice echoed across the forest, and Elder Nie looked down. A guttural scream broke out when he saw who had snuck up on him.
The dagger dug deeper into his neck, blood sliding down the hilt. It was a collection of all the blood belonging to the men the woman had killed in the last hour.
Elder Nie trembled.
With a cut from that knife, he was going to die.
“Weren’t you the one wanting to kill me in the first place? I’m finally here. What do you want to do now?”
Yao Tang pressed the blade against his skin, and he winced. A playful smile slipped into her lips as she stared up at him.
Her cold gaze was fixated on the man.
A chill shot down his spine. Despite her young age, there was something about her icy tone and murderous gaze that made him shake.
He gulped.
What was he going to do now?
“Great Elder!”
“Let go of him!”
“Don’t hurt him!”
The three strong men surrounding him all took out their blades, glaring at Yao Tang.
The three of them were bodyguards that the elder had specifically placed by his side.
They were there to protect him while he was cultivating his spiritual power. After all, he was old. He wouldn’t be able to balance both his spiritual and physical power in a battlefield.
It was why he needed these men to protect him in case someone were to approach him.

“What do you want?”
he choked out.
He was an Elder belonging to the Inner Pavillion, as well as the Grand Elder of the Green Cloud Pavilion. Yet, he had been bested by this…this girl! What face would he have in the future?
He had been too careless!
Even if he was saved, who else would respect a man who had been bested by a teenage girl? He clenched his fists.
Yao Tang scoffed.

“You’re the one who bribed the driver to bring us here. You’re also the one who screwed us over by wanting to kill us, and now you’re asking me what I want?” Yao Tang scoffed.
Seeing her icy gaze, Elder Nie choked, at a loss for words.
