After eating for a while, Xu Xinduo muttered, “I don’t like this flavour; I like strawberry.”
Tong Yan had just peeled a strawberry-flavoured candy and ate it himself. Looking at the bag, he realised that he ate the last strawberry-flavoured one.
After hesitating for a moment, Tong Yan came to Xu Xinduo’s side. Then, he leaned down and held the back of her head to prevent her from running away. Tong Yan gave the strawberry-flavoured candy to her as he hooked away the other one that she was eating.
After swapping candies, Tong Yan ate for a while before he muttered, “The orange one is delicious too.”
When they exchanged the sweets by a kiss, Xu Xinduo forgot to play the piano and her fingers paused for a moment before she was capable of answering, “When it comes to Candy Heart, the sourness of the orange flavour is really high. It’s like an acid-flavoured candy and I don’t like it.”
“Oh…” After Tong Yan answered her, he sat back at the desk and picked up the pen to continue finishing the homework.
Xu Xinduo glanced at Tong Yan quickly and controlled her chaotic breathing before she continued to play the piano.
Xu Xinduo studied the tunes for a while and turned to look at Tong Yan during a small break.
Tong Yan sat in front of the table lazily. Due to his long legs being cooped up for so long, he stretched them out to an impressive length. He wore one side of the slippers on one foot whereas the other side was kicked away long ago. He didn’t wear socks and his fair, slender and long legs were just dangling here and there.
Looking at this young man again, she thought that despite the fact that he appeared like someone that shouldn’t be messed with, he was completing the homework so seriously.
At this time, he was copying some poems into her book and every stroke was written very seriously.
Xu Xinduo suddenly thought of something, so she went into her room to get an item before squatting in front of Tong Yan.
Tong Yan leaned down and saw that Xu Xinduo took out a bottle of red nail polish. Then, she dipped the pen-like stick into the polish and painted a heart pattern on Tong Yan’s toenail.
Not only did Tong Yan watch her paint without trying to stop her, he even stretched his other leg, “Write me a ‘Duo’ word on this side.”
Xu Xinduo took his words seriously— so one toenail was painted with the ‘Duo’ Chinese character whereas the other sported a heart.
Tong Yan wriggled his toes and couldn’t help laughing, “I like it.”
“Mm, I found out, you are really a childish boy.”
“I am the boy who will be your husband.”
“Shut up,” Xu Xinduo warned Tong Yan after she capped the nail polish, “Please restrain yourself when you go out. If you do anything and the public misunderstands, my contract will be finished too! Let’s perish together!”
Tong Yan, who was a logical genius, immediately grasped the loophole and asked, “So that means I can do whatever I want at home?”
“No!” Xu Xinduo turned away after answering.
Tong Yan smiled and continued to do his homework.
He could figure things out pretty clearly— Xu Xinduo like him. As long as he didn’t overdo things and remain undiscovered, Xu Xinduo wouldn’t be able to reject him.
