Tong Yan immediately walked over and said, “Kick me again, I’m standing back here.”
Xu Xinduo kicked Tong Yan with her foot before retracting it back. However, Tong Yan realised that he felt a bit greedy when he saw Xu Xinduo’s fair feet and slender ankles lurking out of the quilt.
He was still filled with a particular desire as a certain feeling started to surge within him, making him want to do a lot of things.
But he held back. With their young age, he must know how to restrain his own wants and behavior.
He sighed and said, “I’ll make some ginger soup for you.”
“Didn’t you say you would blow up the kitchen?”
“That was just a joke, I made soup for grandmother before.”
Tong Yan left and busied himself in the kitchen. The kitchen was situated rather far from Xu Xinduo’s room, so she couldn’t hear anything at all.
She sneaked a glance around the room by lowering the quilt. After confirming that Tong Yan wasn’t in the same room, she covered her face and rolled around under the covers several times. At this point, she was just rolling around in embarrassment.
Then, she stopped abruptly and took another peek.
Ahhhhhh!
Tong Yan and I kissed!
Was this how it was supposed to feel like all along?
No wait, that’s wrong. I gave up on having a relationship now, so I shouldn’t be feeling like that.
But she just couldn’t control her emotions as her heart soared in ecstasy.
If it was initiated by someone else, Xu Xinduo would have rejected them and gave them a good lecture about how unreasonable they were behaving. But because it was Tong Yan, she couldn’t bring herself to become angry; instead, she was even feeling a bit giddy because of his actions.

Did I accidentally bite Tong Yan when I got too nervous just now? His tongue should be fine, right?
Then, she suddenly remembered Wei Lan’s cheesy words.
Ahhhhhh, I’m tainted!
Her heart was beating erratically, but on the exterior, Xu Xinduo appeared calm— almost seeming cold and unbothered.
When Tong Yan was getting her some warm water, he saw her giving him a cold glare, which made him sprint out of the room almost instantly.
As he was preparing to come back into the room, his heart started to pound.
He hadn’t felt like this for a very long time. The last time he experienced this was when Yin Hua gave him a stern expression whenever he didn’t properly practice his skills on the piano in his younger days. After becoming a proud ‘Lord’ who remained fearless of the world, he wouldn’t have ever guessed that the person who could make him feel like that again was Xu Xinduo.

Without even confirming the status of their relationship, it was certainly wrong of him to do so when all they did was confess their feelings to each other.
Her kick just now was light, but he guessed that it was due to the fact that she wasn’t feeling great; should she be in her optimal condition, she would have probably continued to beat him up. But she didn’t even want to look at him anymore— and that was the scariest part. If she was still willing to hit him, he would take all of it. The worst outcome for Tong Yan would be her ignoring him henceforth.
When he was making ginger soup, his mood dampened.
Should I kneel and feed her later?
Or should I plead guilty to what I did?
Perhaps I should beg for forgiveness, kneel and remain there for at least two hours?
