“It’s probably just a common cold.”
“Burning up like this just because of a common cold? Even Nuan Bao Baos(1) don’t emit as much heat as your current body temperature!”
(T/N: Nuan Bao Bao is a Chinese patch brand. It emits heat to keep someone warm and sometimes relieves back pains as well. It’s known to be pretty warm as Chinese people would use it a lot in the winter to keep warm)
Xu Xinduo turned over and said in a low voice, “I’m fine, I just need to sleep.”
Tong Yan took off his jacket and walked over. He leaned down, pressing his forehead against hers as he said, “Let’s switch.”
Seeing that Tong Yan was going to suffer for her if she did, Xu Xinduo refused, “I’m fine.”
“Be good. I can’t make things like ginger soup, but I can make your kitchen explode.”
In fact, you don’t need to cook as I have already taken my medicine. I’ll get a lot better after some rest. Trust me, I’m experienced in that.”
Tong Yan was really mad and his chest became stuffy.
She could exchange during her cramps, so why the heck is she not doing it now? Has she become dense due to her sickness? And what the hell was that so-called, ‘experienced’? Why is that word so infuriating? She’s really proud of being experienced in dealing with common colds, isn’t she?
Tong Yan could only hold back his temper as much as possible before he said again, “Xu Xinduo, can you just be obedient? Switch over!”
Xu Xinduo ignored him, pulling up the quilt and covering her face, not wanting Tong Yan to take her place.
Tong Yan was so angry that he stretched out his hand to pull at the quilt, tugging her out of it. At the moment, the unwell Xu Xinduo couldn’t even resist as she wasn’t strong enough to do so.
Tong Yan cupped her face and asked, “Are you going to listen to me?”
“No!”
“Okay, then let’s get sick together and suffer together, all right?” Tong Yan asked.
Before Xu Xinduo could react, Tong Yan had already kissed her.
It was a very strong kiss— one with a domineering posture that could not be refused.
Xu Xinduo was taken aback. Her eyes widened instantly and she reached out to try to push Tong Yan away.
However, Tong Yan did not let go of her. Instead, he hugged her tightly with one hand and pressed the back of her head with the other, preventing her from escaping.
Warm and gentle— this was Xu Xinduo’s supposed impression of their first kiss.
However, neither of them had a clue on how to do it properly as they were unskilled. Tongue scraping against the fang tooth, a wave of pain was felt as they continued the kiss.
Tong Yan did it out of anger, but even so, he didn’t want to let go of her once he got a taste.
He felt that even if he was beaten by Xu Xinduo afterwards, it would be worth it.
After Xu Xinduo pushed him hard, she didn’t blame him or scold him for anything. Instead, she explained to Tong Yan, “A common cold like this one is not easily contagious.”
Tong Yan’s previous emotions have not yet dimmed and there was still a sense of aggression. A trace of desire lingered in his gaze as he looked at Xu Xinduo with a dazed expression.
After hearing these words, he froze for a moment and swallowed a mouthful of saliva before responding, “Oh…”
“Go away!”
“Oh,” Tong Yan retreated immediately.
This time, Tong Yan was honest. When he retreated, he traced his lips with his thumb and stared at Xu Xinduo.
Xu Xinduo hid under the quilt before she suddenly stretched out her leg under the covers to kick him. However, he stood a tad too far away so he wasn’t attacked.
