She needed a high-ranked beast as her tamed beast to be a high-level mercenary but it was hard to find a beast tamer and only grandfather had the connection.
But he didn’t want to give her if she couldn’t beat a high-ranked beast!
Hearing Bíng Huo answer, Xi Xue slightly smirked. “So you want a tame beast in the end, right?”
“Right…”
“That’s easy then.” Xi Xue suddenly whistled out loud. His whistle embodied with his aura rang throughout the forest, spreading his sacred beast aura.
A second after, all kind of beast from the low-ranked to the high-ranked dashed toward the young man, surrounding the group of people.
Dust flew everywhere, the ground shook and the cry of these beasts lingered in the air.

“W-what is this??” Bíng Huo’s face turned grave. Her body shook hard, a chill ran down her back. The pressure of all the beasts was directed to their place, making her chest suddenly tightened.

That was a beast horde! Not only that, the beast actually headed their way! But…why they just stopped and didn’t attack?

The young man paused a bit before waving her hand, commanding the beasts lower than high-ranked to leave.
With just a wave of his hand, 80% of the beasts immediately turn around and leave, only leaving 50 beasts or so and all of them were a high-ranked beast.
“There. These beasts are all high-ranked. You can pick one!” Xi Xue casually pointed at the beasts. “Of course if you can handle two contracts at the same time you can pick more than one.”
Even though it was usually impossible as someone like his mistress, Li Shi Ying, was very rare. Normal people would only be able to get one tamed beast contracted with them.
They could only get a new one if the old died.
Being asked to choose the beasts as if choosing a mere cabbage, Bíng Huo jaw dropped.
The girl stared at Xi Xue with wide eyes. She slowly lifted her arm and pointed at the young man himself.
“Y-you…are you a beast tamer?” Her voice was shaking as she asked.
Xi Xue tilted his head. He could sense Bíng Huo was very guarded at the moment and her expression showed that she was afraid of him.
’Am I too much?’ Xi Xue rubbed his chin before slowly opened his mouth to answer.
“Well, you can say so. I actually can communicate with the beasts.” Xi Xue told the girl the truth.
“My mistress- I mean my master was the one giving me the technique.” Xi Xue lied without batting an eyelid.
He was posing as a human now so better said that his skill was taught by his master.
“Wow! A beast tamer who can speak the beast language?” Bíng Huo’s eyes brightened. She looked at Xi Xue as if he was a God or something and forgot her fear.
If this guy was telling the truth…grandpa had to get him into the academy!
