Xi Xue tilted his head in confusion, ignoring the shout of the girl.
Seeing the young man ignored her, the blue-haired girl snapped.
“Hey! Did you just ignore me??” The girl stomped and was about to grab Xi Xue collar when the vampire finally replied.
“Oops, sorry, sorry I didn’t mean to.” He nimbly dodged, escaping the girl just an inch away from her hand.
The way he casually dodged actually startled the group. The young man with arrow had his jaw dropped while the girl’s eyes widened in shock.
She was sure that she was fast enough and that man earlier looked like he’s in a daze so how…
How could he escape?
Seeing the people around had a blank look on their face, Xi Xue suddenly approached the girl in a blink on an eye.
“Hello? Hello~” he waved his palm in front of the girl. His casual act to a stranger immediately raised alarm to the people.
He’s so fast! He was at least 5 meters away yet-
Realizing this, the girl bit her lips and subconsciously stepped back. She took a deep breath and asked in a rather gentle tone.
“Fellow Daoist, what is your business here?” She had a thin smile as she cupped her hand together.
The girl would occasionally glance at the wolf carcass in wary.
“Ah? I’m about to find a cave when I found you guys.” Xi Xue put his arms behind his head as he whistled leisurely.
The young man didn’t seem to have a bad intention. He’s just curious in nature.
Knowing Xi Xue didn’t mean any harm, the girl looked at the other young man holding a bow and sighed.
“My name is Bíng Huo…” the girl introduced herself. “May I know this fellow Daoist name?”
’He looks strong. I can’t offend him.’ Bíng Huo gulped, her face looked a bit pale.
“My name is Xi Xue. Bíng Huo, hmm good name.” Xi Xue clicked his tongue in awe before looking at the other young man fighting over the wolf.
“So what’s the problem here? Maybe I can help.” The young man patted his chest, playing the kind charlatan out of nowhere.
Of course, it must be because of Bíng Huo. This little vampire was so desperate for a wife that every girl he met could be considered as his future wife.
Seeing Xi Xue was interested in this matter, the young man with a bow immediately explained. “So I shot this wolf to death while it’s inside the so-called poisonous net.”
He squinted his black eyes and snorted. “But this sissy claimed the wolf was killed by his measly net-”
“What did you say?! You sissy, your whole family is sissy!” Bíng Huo’s face burned red. Steams rise from her head.
“Well, but who will believe a mere net can kill a high-ranked wolf?” The young man sneered. “But my arrow is unique. You can check it has a strong poison.”
“I also use poison for my net!” Bíng Huo snarled. Her sapphire eyes slightly turned darker than before.
“Yes, yes, young master- I mean our friend is a poison expert!”
“True, true. You are the one stealing the prey from us!”
Bíng Huo’s friends stood up for her but from the way they defended her, it’s a bit obvious that they were her underlings instead.
Seeing the two sides still fight over a mere high-ranked beast, Xi Xue coughed, making the group suddenly stopped debating.
“I think we should give the wolf to this young man.” Xi Xue pointed at the young man holding a bow on his hand.
His simple and straight to the point sentence shocked the whole group.
The young man with bow whistled happily while Bíng Huo’s face turned green. The girl’s body shook. She was about to snap and hit Xi Xue when the man winked at her.
’It’s just a high-ranked beast. I can get you more.’ Xi Xue mouthed, signalled Bíng Huo to let the other young man took the wolf carcass.
Bíng Huo abruptly paused. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she watched the other young man took the wolf and said, “Thank you for standing up for me, Fellow Daoist.”
He had a wide smile on his face as he cupped his hand together. “I will never forget your kindness. This one’s name is Pan Tan.”
“Pfff!” Xi Xue suddenly spurts but he immediately covered his mouth and waved to the young man. “No worries, now go, go. It will be dark soon.”
He kindly reminded the other guy even though one could see his shoulders were trembling. The little vampire clutched his stomach trying not to laugh out loud.
Pan Tan! What kind of name is that?!
The oblivious young man didn’t know Xi Xue was making fun of his name. He just bowed and hurriedly left with the wolf.
Right after Pan Tan left, Xi Xue retracted his palm on his mouth and laughed out loud.
“Bwahahahaha! You hear that? His name is Pan Tan! That- that sounded like…like pantat in my mistress home language-” Xi Xue wiped his tears. “Or in other word, butt!”
“Hahaha butt!” Xi Xue almost rolled on the ground, laughing yet the others could only stare blankly at the man.
’Is there anything funny? Pan Tan is a normal name…’
