Take My Breath Away Chapter 781

Chapter 781 - Gifford's Woes

Gifford was almost three years old, and Blair was now seven months pregnant with her second child.

One night, the little boy woke up because he had to pee. He turned on the bedside lamp, got out of bed and went to his bathroom.

As he walked out of the bathroom, he suddenly remembered the monsters from his favorite cartoon—Journey to the West. He quickly opened the door and ran towards his mom's bedroom.

When he arrived at the door, Gifford heard strange noises coming from the room.

He turned the doorknob quietly and popped his head into the room. What he saw shocked him! His mom was pressed against the bed, and his dad was bullying her!

The young boy was angered.

Gifford pushed the door open, and ran towards the bed, crying loudly, "Mommy!" He was terrified for her.

Wesley had heard noises at the door while he was having sex with Blair. But he was too focused to stop and take a look. He didn't expect his son to barge in like this.

Wesley immediately covered them with the quilt. Crying, Gifford stood next to the bed and tried to lift the quilt off his parents. "I won't love you anymore, Daddy! How could you bully Mommy like that?" he cried.

Embarrassed, Blair grabbed the quilt tightly to stop him from lifting it. Gifford, on the other hand, wanted to drive Wesley out of the bed, so he kept tugging at the quilt.

Since Blair was pregnant, Wesley hadn't had the chance to have sex with her for a long time. He had pleaded with her for so long, and she had finally agreed. Yet, their romantic moment was interrupted by their only son. Wesley was so mad, and Gifford's cries made him even angrier.

He threw back the quilt and began to put on his pajamas in front of his son.

Gifford, who had been crying nonstop, raised his head. When he saw his naked father, he was shocked and lowered his head to look at his own. He stopped crying.

'Daddy's willy is so terrifying! Mine is cuter, ' he thought.

In order to not wake up the elders, Wesley closed the bedroom door. He had no idea that his son was secretly feeling sorry for him.

'Does Daddy feel inferior because of his horrible willy? I feel bad for him now. I better continue to love him…' The little boy was deep in thought.

"You little devil! Why are you awake in the middle of the night?" Wesley asked and patted lightly on Gifford's head. He didn't use much strength, and the boy was too indulged in his own thoughts to respond.

Blair thought that her son was too terrified by what he had seen. She put on her night gown and got out of bed. "Gifford, are you all right? Daddy wasn't bullying Mommy. He was…" Her voice trailed off; she didn't know how to explain the situation to a three-year-old.

After considering it for a while, she finally came up with an excuse. "Mommy wasn't feeling well, and Daddy was giving me a massage."

"Daddy, are you feeling bad?" Gifford asked. He was actually asking whether Wesley was feeling bad because of his abnormal willy.

"Of course, I am. Next time, you must knock before entering our room!" Wesley said in a serious tone. He didn't know why his son had asked whether he was feeling bad, but he was definitely feeling bad at that moment.

Gifford nodded his little head.

Wesley asked Blair to get some rest, and he took the little boy to his bedroom.

The moment Gifford got into bed, he said, "Daddy, I'm hungry." He decided to give some of his snacks to his dad to comfort him. 'He must be feeling horrible every day. I should try to comfort him with delicious food.'

Wesley checked the time; it was past midnight. "It's late. You can't eat snacks in the middle of the night."

The little boy's eyes widened as he retorted in disbelief, "You are lying! If we can't eat snacks in the middle of the night, then why is there a light inside the refrigerator?"

Wesley thought for a while before answering, "The light in the refrigerator is only there to brighten the inside of the fridge when it is kept in dark rooms. It's not used to eat at night."

"But, I want to eat something!"

"Son, what you are doing now violates the heavenly rules. You will be pressed under the Five-Finger Mountain by the Buddha."

Gifford was so much into "Journey to the West" recently. So, he protested, "The Buddha and Monkey King are not real! They are just imaginations."

Wesley was starting to have a headache because his son was now smarter than his peers. He rubbed his aching temples and said, "If you violate the heavenly rules, they are going to become very real."

Gifford's eyes widened. He didn't speak, nor could he sleep. He just stared at his father, expressionless.

Wesley cast a sidelong glance at his son. "You are supposed to be asleep by nine, yet here we are, way past twelve o'clock. If you don't sleep now, you will not be allowed to watch 'Journey to the West' tomorrow."

"I want Mommy!" the boy bargained.

"What do you want from her now? Your mommy isn't feeling well. Let her sleep." Blair was probably more disturbed than he was because they had been interrupted.

"Mommy loves me! You don't love me at all!" Gifford said angrily.

'Seriously? Am I being that obvious?' Wesley wondered with a sigh.

He knew last month that he was going to have a daughter. Since then, his whole attention had been focused on the baby in Blair's belly.

He would imagine what he would do after the girl was born. He would take her to the amusement park. He would buy beautiful clothes for her…

He cleared his throat and tried to talk to his son in a calm voice. "Sleep now. You can see Mommy tomorrow morning."

"No! I want her now!"

Wesley lost his patience. "Since you don't want to sleep, let's go jogging together." He was angry and he couldn't find a way to vent his fury.

He reached out his arms to hold the boy. But Gifford turned and avoided him. He quickly shut his eyes and pretended to sleep.

His childish behavior amused Wesley. "Sleep well. Daddy won't leave until you fall asleep," he said in a soft voice. "

Good night, Daddy." Gifford yawned. He was indeed sleepy. He decided to go to his mom as soon as he got up in the morning.

After making sure that the boy was sound asleep, Wesley heaved a sigh of relief and went back to his bedroom.

Blair was not asleep yet. Upon seeing him, she asked, "How's Gifford? Is he asleep?"

"Yeah." Wesley took off his pajamas and threw them away. "That boy is so hard to deal with," he complained. He missed the innocent baby Gifford used to be. Back then, he would listen to whatever Wesley said.

Blair cast a reproachful glance at him. "I told you to lock the door, but you didn't listen. You can't blame him."

"I didn't expect this to happen." He pulled Blair into his arms. After what had happened, he would make sure to lock the door next time. He didn't want their intimacy to be interrupted again.

Blair rested her head on his shoulder. "Get some rest."

"Mm hmm."

But his moves betrayed his thoughts. She grabbed hold of his hand. "What are you doing?"

"We must finish what was started. That is good virtue. You get some rest; I'll finish it on my own."

Blair rolled her eyes. 'Really? How can I fall asleep with you torturing me?'

When Evelyn was almost five years old, Blair had given birth to Gifford. Debbie had given birth to Terilynn soon after that.

Now, three years later, Blair gave birth to Yvette Li. Another two years down the line, Debbie gave birth to Matthew, her third child with Carlos.
