“There’s no scientific basis for that,” Zhai Yunsheng calmly replied.
Jian Yiling nodded when she heard this. There was indeed no scientific basis or proof for that comment.
“So what if there’s no scientific basis? I gave birth to three sons! And every single time, I wanted to eat sour foods!” Grandma Jian exclaimed. She used her own personal experience as proof and evidence.
No one here had any experience in childbirth! Therefore, no one could argue against her words.
“I want to eat pickled fish,” Jian Yiling interrupted.
“Ahh, why are you craving sour foods?” Grandma Jian commented sadly.
“That’s incorrect! Pickled fish can be spicy as well!” Grandpa Jian hurriedly added.
It was hard to determine whether pickled fish was sour or spicy.
Grandma Jian hurriedly asked her granddaughter: “Darling, do you want the chefs to make you something sour or spicy?”
In her mind, Jian Yiling wanted to say sour.
However, she did not want her grandma to be disappointed.
When Master Zhai noticed Jian Yiling’s dilemma, he stated: ‘Well, we can just ask the chef to make two portions. One being sour and the other being spicy!”
Either way, Master Zhai was happy he was finally going to have a great-grandchild.
