”This guy? Making an excuse with a straight face,” An Tian commented exactly what others were thinking about.
Noah chuckled, “Mobile? He could have asked Jerome to get it for him but our guy is….”
”….so much in love,” Lu Lian said the rest of it as she looked at those two and smiled pleasantly.
Jiang Yuyan and Lu Lijun reached their room as they took their time slow walking due to Jiang Yuyan. Once they reached the room, Jiang Yuyan went to the bed while Lu Lijun followed her to help her.
She could not stop him and only obeyed what he wished to do. Not like she didn’t like it but still it was not easily acceptable for her to be taken care of like a child. Just as she sat in the bed, he passed her water, “You must be tired.”
She accepted it and had a few sips. She lay on the bed and Lu Lijun covered her with a quilt. He sat at the edge of the bed and it reminded her of what he did the last time when he just sat at the edge of the bed. She gulped and gripped the quilt while Lu Lijun only caressed her hairstrands around the face to move them back.
”If you need something, just give me a call.”
She nodded and he stood up, “Rest well.”
Lu Lijun picked up his mobile and left.
Jiang Yuyan looked at the closed door and thought, ‘Was I expecting it again? I sure was. I’m being too much these days,’ she frowned at herself.
She then realized she doesn’t talk much when he is around, mostly nods and agrees to what he asks. It was as if he could guess what she needed and she didn’t need to ask for it. Without many words, things were being understood and going smoothly between the two.
Lu Lijun came downstairs where everyone had returned to the drawing room.
Seeing him, Noah commented. “I thought we won’t see this wife’s slave here anymore.”
”She needs to rest.” Lu Lijun replied.
”So do you mean when you are around, you don’t let her sleep?” An Tian teased.
”I try to let her sleep…..”
”But you seem to fail each time,” Jake commented.
”Can’t help it,” Lu Lijun replied boldly.
”You better not trouble my sister. She is weak,” Jiang Yang warned.
”That’s what stops me,” Lu Lijun replied shamelessly.
”You better behave or you won’t see her here anymore,” Jiang Yang warned.
”I am sure she would want to see me,” Lu Lijun countered with a smirk.
”You just wait to see me take her away,” Jiang Yang warned.
Just then, Martha arrived, “Young Miss, I have prepared the rooms for you.”
”Thank you, Martha,” Lu Lian replied.
Martha looked at Lu Lijun, “Fourth Young Master, I have arranged all the left guest rooms for everyone. Aside from Mr Xiao Min and Mr Feng, there are two more rooms downstairs and one upstairs which is next to Noah’s room. I don’t know out of three which room to assign to whom.”
”It’s simple,” Lu Lijun said with a serious tone. Brother Yang and Mr Ming will stay in the two rooms downstairs and my elder sister will get the room upstairs.”
”Upstairs?” Lu Lian asked. Ming Rusheng was downstairs so if not for the same room, she can at least get the room next to him and brother Yang could go upstairs.
”Hmm,” you heard it right.
You dare be in the same room with someone else’s sister but you won’t allow your sister to be with her man,” Ming Rusheng said.
”My home, my rules,” Lu Lijun said bluntly.
”Then I can just take her away,” Ming Rusheng held Lu Lian’s hand as he didn’t look like he would back down.
”We are here for a reason,” Lu Lijun said with a cold but meaningful gaze and Ming Rusheng let go of Lu Lian’s hand
”What reason?” Lu Lian asked.
After a short pause, Ming Rusheng spoke, “All of us to spend the weekend together, a family time.”
”Ah, okay!” she said and heard her brother, “Elder sister, you are coming with me,” and looked at Martha, “Send her stuff upstairs.”
”Brother Feng,” Lu Lain looked at him thinking he would say something to Lu Lijun but she heard Lu Feng say coldy, “Do you want me to see you off in your room upstairs?”
Lu Lian gulped, ‘Why do my both brothers seem so scary today?’ and followed Lu Lijun quietly.
Lu Lijun led the way for Lu Lian as Ming Rusheng only looked at her being taken away from her.
Jiang Yang patted his shoulder to console him, “I am far better brother than these hypocrite Lu brothers. They spend all the time with their woman but won’t allow their sisters.”
”We should do the same with our sister,” Ming Rusheng commented and looked at Lu Feng, “Both of your women are related to me somehow and I am sure I can show my brotherly rights over them.”
It didn’t affect Lu Feng, “I am sure you don’t want to marry Lian anytime soon or maybe never.”
”As if you can do that. Just like your women, my woman will come to me whatever it takes. After she has almost lost me once, she will turn the entire world upside down to be with me and I will do the same.”
When Ming Rusheng said it, they were reminded of that day when Lu Lian went crazy over just the thought of Ming Rusheng being no more. Lu Feng sighed, “This one I’ll give to you.”
Ming Rusheng smiled but heard Lu Feng, “That doesn’t mean you will do anything with her when you are in our home. As Lu Lijun said, our home, our rules.”
”Sigh, you can’t beat these shamelessly hypocrite brothers,” Jiang Yang said.
Ming Rusheng chuckled, “Who cares as, in the end, the sister will come to me.”
