I looked back and saw a female mage wearing a crimson mage robe with a low V-neck. Judging from its luster, I reckoned that the robe was at least Level 220 or higher and Ancient Immortal-grade. Of course, shinier than even the robe was the pair of bunnies capturing and melting snowflakes between the cleavage. Speaking of which, I should probably look away before it is too late.
So I said, “Aren’t you cold, Momo?”
Stranger of Three Lifetimes looked at my armor and said, “A little. Why don’t you give me your Guardian Dragon Armor and Sunchaser Cloak to keep me warm for a bit? Our Eyes Like Water is lacking equipment of this level anyway…”
The corners of my mouth twitched. “Yeah, no. You can’t freeze to death in the game anyway, so I would rather you continued to freeze.”
She giggled. “Anyway, add me and Eyes to your party already. This time, we’ll steal the boss together!”
“Mn!”

I added the two girls but kept He Yi as the party leader because her Royal Road was the most useful Famous General Skill in this situation.
While watching the boss fight in the valley, Stranger of Three Lifetimes asked, “So, when are we stopping Purgatory Mad Dragon?”
I raised an eyebrow. “Why would we? We don’t have to do anything at all!”
“Explain?” Stranger of Three Lifetimes blinked.
“Isn’t it obvious?” I pointed at the rampaging boss in the valley. “Not only is this Forbidden Ground Devil Sovereign a Sovereign Rank boss, it’s an all-rounder type that can both dish out the damage and tank for days. Those two shields alone add god knows how much Defense to the boss, and it has a total Defense of 100k. If you add in the bonuses it gets from being at a higher level and rank, I dare say that its effective Defense is at least 2 million or higher. Forget third-rate players like Inconstant, Iron Pardon and Wang Dongliang, not even their ace, Ray of Sunshine, may be able to penetrate the boss’s Defense!”
He Yi giggled. “Come now, the Gemini Stars of Mad Dragon are at least second-rate players!”
Stranger of Three Lifetimes agreed, “Yes, they’re definitely second-rate. Still, it doesn’t matter if they cannot penetrate the boss’s 100k Defense. Unless they have someone like Lu Chen or Beiming Xue who can reduce the boss’s Defense, this is obviously going to end in a disaster!”
Murong Mingyue said, “Technically speaking, a priest can lower the boss’s Defense with a curse…”
The corners of my mouth twitched again. “As if a 5% reduction is going to help them at all…”
Eyes Like Water trotted up to us and asked, “So, we really just going to sit here and do nothing? Really?”
Stranger of Three Lifetimes and I chuckled in perfect unison. “Why so hasty? Just be patient and wait until the boss is below 20% HP. It’s not like we’re the ones who’re losing men…”
Eyes Like Water rolled her eyes. “You’re all devils…”

A while later, Li Chengfeng, Gui Guzi, Lin Yixin, Chaos Moon and more hundred-man parties were camping on the hills and waiting for the boss to drop to an acceptable level of HP as well. The boss was a hot potato, and the ones who fought it first were destined to be bruised and battered. Not only that, countless vultures were observing and waiting for the opportunity to claim the boss for themselves. No one wanted to be in this position unless they couldn’t help it.
When Lu Buyi came, we joined all our parties together so that all 500+ of us could enjoy his Purple Dragon. When Lin Yixin, Stranger of Three Lifetimes and more realized that his Purple Dragon now buffed all stats by 150%, they blurted, “Holy shit, Ancient Sword’s tactician is OP as hell!”
I hid a snicker. They would be even more surprised if I revealed to them exactly how broken Pure Love’s buffs currently were. It was a guild secret though, so I kept my mouth shut even to Yiyi. That being said, they were all very intelligent women. I was sure that they could guess what kind of boons the Seven-string Yaoqin offered just by checking the Twelve Divine Armaments Ranking and noting that its owner was Pure Love.

It was at this moment we heard a new chorus of hooves from a different direction. They must be pretty numerous considering that the entire valley was thundering with the noise!
“Oh man, this is going to be exciting…” Lin Yixin said while rubbing her palms together with great enthusiasm.
The big party that came bursting through the snow all had red names. They were Era of Strife, the second greatest guild of Japan, and they were led by their guild leader, Copper Spear. The man was only Level 221 because I had busted his ass twice with the Chains of Freedom, but I must admit that his leveling speed was quite impressive. He was back with a couple thousand Era of Strife players this time!
“All units, charge formation! Take the boss from the enemy!”
Copper said while laughing, “We’re pretty lucky today! For once, only one trash Chinese guild is fighting a valuable boss! Take them out! Our reinforcements will show up very soon, so don’t hold back!”
Thousands of Era of Strife cavalrymen activated their Charges. It was quite the sight to say the least.
Wang Dongliang glanced in Era of Strife’s direction in annoyance. “Those motherfucking Japanese are causing trouble again. Mad Dragon magic knights, tank the boss for a moment. Ray of Sunshine, follow me to take out the idiots from Era of Strife. We’ll take out their leader first!”
Ray of Sunshine chuckled. “No problem!”
Wang Dongliang, Ray of Sunshine and only a hundred cavalrymen counterattacked Era of Strife’s thousands. Normally I would say that they had gone completely mad, but…
The moment Ray of Sunshine got close to Copper Spear, he immediately executed a Dragonflame Flurry + Crimson Flame Slash combo that deleted 70% of the latter’s HP!
“Dammit!”
Copper Spear swore angrily and responded with a long-range sword aura, but Ray of Sunshine easily dodged out of the way. Era of Strife’s players then attempted to lock down the Master Swordsman of Blaze with Trapping Nets, but again he dodged them all before closing in on Copper Spear and stabbing him in the chest with Barrier Break. Once again, the guild leader was knocked backward.
“Retreat!”
A shocked Copper Spear shouted after his HP had fallen below 10%. He never thought that a trash guild like Purgatory Mad Dragon would come to have a top-tier expert like Ray of Sunshine one day. Well, this one was totally his own fault. He should’ve done his research.
“You think you can escape?”
Ray of Sunshine’s chuckle sounded like it came from the King of Hell himself. The next moment, Rise of Fire Dragon burst out of the snow beneath Copper Spear and threw him into the air. Even with War God Recovery, Copper Spear hadn’t recovered nearly enough HP to tank the skill in its entirety. Just in case the guild leader got lucky though, Ray of Sunshine cast his Shadow Breaker to stun him!
Bang!

Copper Spear shuddered and died just like that. He also dropped a pair of legguards.

On the hills, I shook my head in pity. “I don’t understand why Era of Strife even came here. To donate equipment? Poor Copper Spear…”
He Yi nodded. “Yes, he’s an easily wounded man…”
Lin Yixin said, “He’s still better than Laughing At The Heavens though. He dies literally every time he shows up, and he’s a CGL Hall of Famer no less…”
Me: “…”
Stranger of Three Lifetimes asked, “Era of Strife’s departure is sure to attract more foreign guilds. Should we make a move soon?”
I nodded in agreement before ordering, “Chengfeng, Chaos Moon, mobilize all nearby Ancient Sword players and have 100k players secure both sides of this valley. I expect the blockade to be done in 30 minutes tops. This boss belongs to us and no one else!”
Li Chengfeng and Chaos Moon nodded in unison. “Understood! We’ll get it done right away!”
Lin Yixin smiled approvingly at my decision. “This is how the number one guild of China should act!”
I nodded with determination. “Yeah. Just this once, we’ll be forceful and beat down anyone who dares to challenge us. We’re not backing down even if Cyan Beast, Hero Alliance, Throne of the Wild and more were to gang up on us. We are close to the final stretch of the March of Chaos event anyway! We may as well take them all out and boost our server’s morale for the next Nation War!”
My declaration excited High Fighting Spirits, Gui Guzi and more Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls players. They all clenched their fists and chanted, “Together with Dreaming Souls, our Ancient Sword paves the way! We will prove that our cavalry is unrivaled in Heavenblessed!”

Unfortunately, the foreign forces arrived even sooner than we had expected. The Sovereign Rank boss was like a delicious mountain-sized cake that caught the attention of every living creature within tens of kilometers. Very soon, Tear Stain’s several thousand Throne of the Wild players and Shogunate’s 10,000 Asuka Period players had shown up at the valley. Not even the terrible snowstorm was strong enough to cover up the smoke of war. Meanwhile, Purgatory Mad Dragon was still fighting the boss—actually, it was more of the other way around—to little effect. That wasn’t to say that their efforts were completely useless though. The Forbidden Ground Devil Sovereign had dropped to 70% HP or so thanks to the mages’ DPS.
Wang Dongliang growled, “Dammit, the Japanese and Koreans are here already! Brother Chao, are your people here yet? We need to organize our defense soon!”
Roaming Dragon assured, “Relax, we have 70k people in the valley already. In fact, they’re organizing the defense line right now. You just can’t see them because the snowstorm is too strong!”
Wang Dongliang perked up a little. “That’s great news! This will be the battle to truly make Purgatory Mad Dragon famous!”
For those without a vision skill, they could only hear the sounds of shields smashing against the frosted ground. As for me, Dark Pupils had an effective range of 500 yards or so in this snow, so I could see a ton of Purgatory Mad Dragon players forming a wide circle around the boss. There were at least 50k mages and archers within the circle as well. Purgatory Mad Dragon was going all out for this boss.
“Let the grandchildren come!” Ray of Sunshine laughed arrogantly from the forefront of the formation.

Meanwhile, Throne of the Wild and Asuka Period had joined forces to form a massive party of 15k cavalrymen or so. Then, they charged Purgatory Mad Dragon’s defense formation together!
Both Tear Stain and Shogunate were very worried. The reason they came to an agreement and launched an assault so quickly was because they knew that they didn’t have nearly enough men to defeat a fully fortified enemy, even one as shitty as Purgatory Mad Dragon. The enemy mages and archers would easily obliterate their 15k men if they were given the time to completely set up their formation. Cavalrymen were powerful, but not so much in a positional warfare and definitely not as cannon fodders.
Unfortunately, they were still too late. Purgatory Mad Dragon was the early bird, so they were able to keep the boss busy with about 10,000 players and secure the valley with about 100,000 players.

The battle had already begun, but the snowstorm was too strong for us to see the whole picture. The air stank of fresh blood, however.
Thirty minutes later, the green dots (Purgatory Mad Dragon) in my map screen only decreased by a little, while the red dots (Throne of the Wild and Asuka Period) bled numbers at a steady rate. It was clear that their temporary alliance had ended in failure.
“It’s time, people!”
I abruptly rose to my feet and pulled Guanyue up my dragon. Everyone else also got onto their mounts and made a beeline for Purgatory Mad Dragon’s formation.

Meanwhile, a small group of Asuka Period and Throne of the Wild players were retreating to the right side of the valley. Tear Stain was riding a huge horse and pulling out the arrows stuck to her arm while muttering, “Dammit, their firepower is too strong. We need reinforcements as soon as possible!”
Her vice leader nodded. “Don’t worry, our 30k cavalrymen are only ten minutes away from here!”
……
Suddenly, a voice spoke from behind the snow. “Do you really think you can leave this place alive in this state?”
“Who is it?” Tear Stain
A group of cavalrymen burst out of the snow, and they were led by none other than Little Piglet. The Crimson Dragon Arm burned around his wrist as the man smirked. “Looks like today’s the day I teach Candlelight Shadow’s impudent junior sister a lesson. Kill them, brothers and sisters! We’ll eliminate Tear Stain first, Purgatory Mad Dragon second, and the boss last!”
