Lightning crackled across the Blade of Thunder as the lightning-clad boss gathered a sphere of crackling lightning above his fingertip. He then dropped it on top of a hundred NPCs and turned them and the ground beneath them into ashes instantly. It was yet another Thunder Abyss.

While avoiding the archers’ arrows, Thunder fired another lightning shockwave while growling hatefully, “Do you really think these puny powers are enough to kill me, Karinshan, Sophia? Dream on!”

Karinshan was standing atop a rubble with one of her arms hanging limply beside her. It looked like it was broken. Gripping the Guardian Blade with her remaining hand tightly, she shot toward Thunder like a cannonball and successfully knocked him back about dozens of meters. The Purgatory Sovereign crashed into a stone pillar and dropped to 2% HP. He wasn’t quite dead yet, but he definitely had one foot in death’s door.
Thunder raised his arm and fired three Thunder Abysses in a row, driving Karinshan backward and nearly melting the armor she was wearing. If her body wasn’t protected by a sheen of golden divine energy, she would probably be ashes just like Stark already. The average person simply couldn’t withstand the power of Thunder Abyss.
Thunder rose to his feet with a mad laugh. “Do you know, Karinshan? Even now, I can kill you as easily as flipping my palm!”
A panting Karinshan simply frowned without uttering a single word.
It was at this moment a black boot crushed the remnants of a brick into pieces, and an icy, feminine voice that sounded like it came from hell itself said, “We meet again, Thunder. Do you remember my promise to kill you?”

“No!” Thunder gritted his teeth and looked toward the west. “Lord Coldblade… Lord Coldblade wouldn’t lie to me, I…”

It felt like all the strength in my body had been sucked out of me. The biggest flaw of Purple Dragon Howl was that it would inflict me with the Weakened status condition and make me extremely vulnerable for 3 seconds. Normally, I would never use it unless the circumstances were almost ideal like this one.
