My heart had leaped to my throat. The Dragonrise spell dealt around 1 million damage per hit. Tenacity of the Dead had healed me for 1 million HP, and the priests on the walls had Instant Heal’d me for another 1 million. Even so, I only had a bit over 2 million damage. I knew the second I saw the first damage number that I was going to die. The Dragonrise spell was an AoE spell, so I didn’t even have the option of dodging out of the way. I dared not activate my invincibility shield either because the aggro would immediately be transferred to the players on the rampart. If that happened, our losses were going to be worse than if I had just died here. I resolved myself to die then. This way, Li Chengfeng, He Yi and Gui Guzi would have a chance to retake the boss’s aggro at least. Otherwise, this Level 315 Ancient Immortal Rank boss would absolutely wipe the floor with our 100,000-strong army!

Deeply humiliated, Lin Lie raised an iron fist and punched me hard on the Cyan Dragon Shield, dealing… only 270k damage! It was nothing like the monstrous amount of damage he had dealt to me earlier! As I thought, even a boss couldn’t do much against me if he was disarmed, and I was certain that Lin Lie didn’t have another Cave Ice Halberd in his bag. He would’ve used it to smack me in the face already if he did. Now was the time to go all out!

Right after I shouted, He Yi, Li Chengfeng and Gui Guzi and I went into a frenzy. Blades and energies scattered all over the place as we deleted much of Lin Lie’s HP!
During this period, I snuck a look at Warsky Alliance and Candle Dragon to see how they were doing. The King of Mad Leopards were ravaging Warsky Alliance’s Cyanscale Cavalry and killing countless with its Stormwind Blood Claw. Despite Warsky, October Rain and the other Warsky Alliance generals’ best efforts, it would cost them dearly to suppress the powerful King of Mad Leopards. As for Candle Dragon, Candlelight Shadow, Blue Sky Scar and Tempest Shadow were taking turns to attack the King of Dragonscale Battle Tigers, but the boss kept running all over the place as if someone had pumped it with stimulants. Rather than fighting for their lives, Lin Yixin, Purple Marquis and more super experts were really reaping contribution points to benefit themselves.
So I raised the Chill of the Nine Provinces and shouted, “Come help us kill this boss, Yiyi! Quickly! We could use your DPS!”

The boss dished out two vicious attacks that forced Li Chengfeng to fly back to the fortress and receive the priests’ healing. Gui Guzi had rejoined the battle earlier without waiting to be fully healed, and now he was forced to go back again. He Yi followed after him soon after.
I myself only had less than 40% HP. I tried buying myself some time by summoning my apparition, but the boss literally killed it in two swings. I learned my lesson and decided that I wouldn’t even bother using the skill anymore…

Gui Guzi puffed up his chest. “Who are you calling a little boy? I’m… 15 centimeters long (self-proclaimed), you know!”
Lin Yixin’s smile immediately turned malicious. “Ah, I see someone is in need of some discipline. See you in the champion arena later, little boy!”

It took almost 40 minutes, but finally Lin Lie’s HP hit rock bottom.
