Dominating Heaven Blade tried to make a rush for the boss, but they ran into Red Maple, Purple Thunder, Cyan Frost and more Swallow Ear Canton players almost all too quickly.

Dominating Heaven Blade was going all out. A long time ago, Gods of Destruction had been the second best guild in the China server, but today they could barely make it to the Top 10 of the China Guild Ranking. If they didn’t perform well, and soon, the next ranking announcement would most likely be their death knell. That was something Dominating Knight God, Dominating Warrior God and more couldn’t endure, much less the guild leader himself, Dominating Heaven Blade.
Unfortunately for them, their opponent was Red Maple’s group.

Freezing Slash froze Dominating Warrior God into an ice sculpture. Then, Cyan Frost stabbed Dominating Mage God through his Magic Shield and dealt over 570k damage, killing him instantly.
Dominating Knight God’s eyes turned bloodshot. “Fuck!”
However, he was stunned before he even managed to turn his spear around. It was Purple Thunder who had hit him with an Ambush.

Some distance away, Eyes Like Water caught sight of Gods of Destruction elites’ crushing defeat and had to voice her shock. While doing so, she didn’t forget to cut a Cyan Beast Gold Cavalryman’s neck with a basic attack before killing him with Barrier Break. Then, she and dozens of Blazing Hot Lips players continued pushing toward the boss.

Suddenly, an arrow appeared out of nowhere and struck Eyes Like Water in the middle of her chest. The warrioress’ eyes widened as the “Stunned” icon appeared above her head. “Watch out! It’s the English!”
She was correct. The person who shot her was an archer from the Blood Soul guild of Sunset City, and the super high-level metal-armor player charging toward her while she was incapitated was none other than the guild leader himself, Soul Slayer! He was an expert with an SSS Rank Ancient Divine Skill!
Buzz!
Soul Slayer raised his sword high, and the image of a bloody, giant god appeared above his head. He declared with a savage smile on his face, “Just go home and take a nice nap, lass from China! This place doesn’t need you, and this boss belongs to the Northern Alliance!”
“Shit!” Eyes Like Water blinked frantically, but there was nothing she could do to stop him.

The Odin Slash fell. When the dust settled, literally everyone in her group was one-shot except Eyes Like Water herself.
Soul Slayer rushed forward and pressed his sword right between Eyes Like Water’s chest. Then, as if he wanted to draw out her death, he slowly pushed the blade forward while licking his lips. “Not bad, not bad. Not many people can survive my Odin Slash. Still, you must die. So long, lass!”
All Eyes Like Water managed was a frown before she dissolved into white light and vanished from the fortress.

I cut down a Cyan Beast magic knight before yelling at He Yi and Li Chengfeng from the ground, “Eve, pin down Vienna’s Sorrow[1]! Chengfeng, follow me to open a hole for the players of our server! Everyone except us has been pushed away from the boss!”
“Got it!” Li Chengfeng yelled back. “You make your charge on the ground, and I’ll assist you from the sky!”
“Yeah!”
A bit of worry flashed across He Yi’s features. “Be careful, Lu Chen. There are a ton of top-tier experts on the ground!”
“No worries!”
I shot a glance at Eyes Like Water’s dead body and felt a deep sense of humiliation was permeating inside my chest. Soul Slayer would do this to my ally? He will pay!

Protected by Fusion Armor, I ran straight toward the group of dozens that belonged to Swallow Ear Canton. Red Maple, Cyan Frost and Purple Thunder were among them. Consciously or not, it looked like God’s Domain was playing the role of a shield for the Northern Alliance this time.

The series of movements only took me 0.2 seconds to complete. In fact, Purple Thunder was still in the process of thrusting his dagger forward when his eyes widened. He clearly couldn’t believe that it was possible to minimize one’s action to this extent until it was too late.
Cyan Frost’s Freezing Slash greeted me next as I continued forward without pause. An instant before the skill could make contact with me, I activated Battle Astral Wind and nullified it completely. At the same time, I thrust the Chill of the Nine Provinces forward—by the way, Purple Thunder’s body hadn’t yet despawned from my blade—and skewered Cyan Frost right through the chest like satay. Red Maple’s reaction was much faster than Cyan Frost’s, so he was able to Guard right before the hit. Still, he was blown back ten meters or so.
I shook my sword once and caused Purple Thunder and Cyan Frost’s bodies to dissolve into white light. Then, I rushed toward Red Maple and brought my sword down with a powerful swing!

Red Maple just barely parried the strike, and the sheer force behind the strike had temporarily rooted him in place. I kicked him in the shoulder almost the same time he attempted to sweep me off my feet.
I wasn’t planning to kill him though, at least not now. I pushed hard and propelled myself in the opposite direction like a cannonball!

As soon as I reached the Northern Alliance’s group, I cast Myriad Swords Obliteration that shrouded at least a couple hundred English players. Right after that, I shot Dragon Slaying Slash that Soul Slayer just barely dodged out of the way. The man stared at the burn mark on the ground and uttered, “Fuck, I’m his real target!”

Suddenly, I felt a Domain approaching me from the flank with incredible speed. There were less than ten players in the world who possessed this level of movement speed and decisiveness, but only one that hated me to the very bone—Breeze and Rain!
To say that Breeze and Rain wanted to swallow me alive would be an understatement. He had lost to me so many times that he could write an entire book of grievances with the blood and tears he shedded as the ink. As the matter stood, there was no chance he was ever going to leave me alone.

I spun around to meet him even as my shield heated up all of a sudden. Breeze and Rain was in the middle of executing his Blazing Slash, and his second and third strikes were just moments from hitting me!
I crossed my shield and my sword in front of myself to block the attack!
I was able to block the second strike, but Breeze and Rain waited patiently until a flaw appeared in my movements. Without hesitation, he kicked my sword in the hilt, broke my Guard stance utterly and landed Moonbreaking Slash at the same time as the third hit of his Blazing Slash—

After scoring the successful hit and deleting a huge chunk of my HP, Breeze and Rain immediately followed up with his Divine General Skill, Soul Capture. If he was able to lower my stats by 70%, then the arrow rain alone would be enough to delete me from existence.
However, Breeze and Rain canceled his own skill before it could reach completion. At the same time, he suddenly jumped away from me.

It was the right choice. My God Binding Art had been 0.1 second away from trapping him in place, but he somehow saw through it and dodged just in time to save himself. A short distance away, Copper Spear couldn’t help but click his tongue in wonder, “God damn, the duel between two Heavenly Kings is so shameless. I was too busy to care about his comment, however. I bent backward just in time to dodge a basic attack God of War had aimed at my nose. The guy was obviously working together with Breeze and Rain to kill me. After the miss, he didn’t hesitate to unleash a close-range Inferno Sixtuple Slash!
There was no dodging this one, so I raised my shield and blocked the whole thing with Guard. My HP dropped to 50% at the end of it, and I was currently too far away for Murong Mingyue to heal me. I would have to survive this on my own.

As I ran, I tossed my sword at God of War and deleted much of his HP with a Coiling Dragon Revolution. I would’ve hit Breeze and Rain too, but the guy was a tad more skilled than God of War and was able to dive into one of the pits Skullblood had created right before it would hit.
Still, Breeze and Rain wouldn’t be able to come at me immediately, so I sped up and raced toward Soul Slayer. While jumping out of the pit, Breeze and Rain shouted, “He’s trying to kill Soul Slayer! Don’t let him succeed, God of War!”
“Dream on!”
I sneered as I activated Ghost Spirit Step Art. A few lightning-quick zigs and zags later, I was able to slip around God of War’s assault and drop Myriad Swords Obliteration + Summon the Storm combo on top of a group of enemies including Soul Slayer himself. The man immediately dropped to 30% HP or so.
Thunderous Charge!
I vanished from my original spot and appeared in front of Soul Slayer a moment later. Soul Slayer was the leader of the second strongest guild of Sunset City, so he was quite an experienced man. Even so, he couldn’t help but shudder when he saw the look in my eyes at close range. “What… what are you doing?”
I replied indifferently, “Killing you, of course!”
Soul Slayer’s heart shattered the moment I waved my left hand and wrapped his neck in blood-red chains. No one wanted to be a victim of Chains of Freedom, and Soul Slayer was no exception.
