I raised my hand and used an Undying Berserker Card to buff my max HP by 100%, Attack by 45%, and resurrection chance by 25%. The resurrection effect was useless because resurrection was forbidden in the Chaotic Regions, but the first two effects were already pretty good. Right after that, I shouted, “Heaven’s Rain, lock onto my coordinates and bring 2000 players! We have a boss!”
Heaven’s Rain replied quickly, “Got it. We’ll be there in 20 minutes!”
When I looked up, I noticed that the boss was already raising her sword. She glared at me with anger as she said, “You will stop the giants’ march even now, feeble, ant-like humans? Become the dust beneath my boots and die! It is the only way for your race!”
The boss was too close. She actually had aggroed onto us first.
Shatter Queen Lin Qian raised both her arms and surrounded herself in a column of golden light. It was the skill “Sovereign Arrival”, and its effects were heartbreaking to say the least—

Motherfucker! A buff skill? We haven’t even traded blows yet, and the boss was already buffing herself? Shameless! Utterly shameless!
But it wasn’t over yet. Next, Shatter Queen Lin Qian clasped her hands together to use the skill “Frosty Night Prayer”. Another three lines appeared beside her feet in rapid succession—

It missed. It was within expectations however.
Surprisingly, Shatter Queen Lin Qian was unusually angered by my action. The second she finished her buffing action, she immediately brought her sword down on me with the strength of mountains. She roared, “Die! No one gets to sneak a peek at my underwear and live!”
“No one’s interested in you, you psycho…” I retorted while bringing my sword and shield to bear.
However, Unrelenting Shatter turned out to be an unparriable skill. The boss was able to score three full-powered blows on my shield, my shoulder armor and my chest, and for a second I thought I was going to be ground into paste. The boss’s Attack was just too high, and the damage numbers that floated above my head scared the shit out of me—

I made a fist and healed myself for 25% HP with Tenacity of the Dead. At the same time, I shouted, “What the fuck, stop staring at me and heal me already, priests!! Mages, use Touch of the Dragonkiss and Ice Arrow! Archers, use Shock Arrow and Spiraling Arrow Blade [1]! Beiming, lower the boss’s Defense with me!”
The Dragonlight Archers’ arrows struck true, but they only managed to deal three-digit damage. The boss smacked me around with mountain-crushing strength, but I had 100 priests to heal me. Even considering her devastating power, my HP mostly maintained above the 75% mark. As long as Shatter Queen Lin Qian didn’t crit with Unrelenting Shatter, she shouldn’t be able to kill me.

You would think that my Chill of the Nine Provinces would cut the boss’s milky flesh into bloody ribbons, but no, it bounced away with metallic sparks instead. It was like trying to hack down a literal mountain. Truly, it took a special kind of person to accept the love of a woman of the giant race! I personally couldn’t accept a woman whose legs could literally give me calluses!

It looked like things were about to stabilize, but the boss’s AI proved to be smarter than that. Every 30 seconds or so, Shatter Queen Lin Qian would ignore the aggro table, charge toward a random group of people and roar, “Give me your lives, children!”

Her giant sword hit the ground, and the dozen or so Dragonlight Cavalrymen she targeted lost over a million HP instantly. Bad enough that those who were critted were one-shot, the boss’s attack dealt splash damage as well. Tiger Leopard Knight hurriedly reined in his Dragonscale Beast and barked, “Back up! Back up so that Lu Chen can retake the aggro! The rest of us is just going to be one-shot!”
My Burning Blade Slash hit the boss just in time to retake the aggro, but the damage had already been done. It hadn’t even been 5 minutes, but we had lost almost a hundred players to Shatter Queen Lin Qian. Worse, the boss had 500 million HP, and we only managed to drop her HP to 90% so far. What a scam!
That being said, I could hardly voice my complaints and demoralize my own troops. So I let out a hearty laugh and said, “Keep up the good work, everyone! I gave her a nod and selected my 1000 Dragonlight Cavalrymen as quickly as possible. Then, I ordered, “Let’s go! Time to teach Era of Strife a lesson!”
Everyone whooped as I made a new party and buffed everyone’s Attack by 200% with Martial God. It was raining, and the sky was dark. Visibility was so poor that it might as well be nighttime even though it was the middle of the day. Luckily, I had Dark Pupils to show me Era of Strife’s every movement on the map screen. The enemy had split up into three separate forces, so a timely charge should be able to break them apart.
I swept my gaze across the surroundings as I flew up a hill. About 4000 Fire Scale Cavalrymen were chasing after the Dragonlight Cavalry led by Tiger Leopard Knight. The latter was drastically inferior to the former in terms of numbers, so they could only retreat again and again.
“Kill!”
I ordered with a laugh. “Kill them all!”
My 1000 Dragonlight Cavalrymen galloped down the slope and cut right through the Fire Scale Cavalry’s “belly.” At the forefront of the charge, I raised my sword and reduced everyone’s HP within 1000 yards of me by 50%. Then, I activated Heavenly River Transformation and brought my SSS Rank Ancient Divine Skill, Xuanyuan Slash down on the heart of the enemy’s forces!
BOOM!
The Fire Scale Cavalry were too busy reeling from the sudden 50% drop of their HP to realize that there was a follow-up attack. It was a slaughter.
I didn’t slow my attack rhythm in the slightest, however. Our numbers were ultimately fewer than the enemy’s, so we couldn’t afford to drag this out. In fact, the tables could be flipped in an instant if the Fire Scale Cavalry managed to find a foothold. They were Era of Strife’s ace unit after all, and they obviously hadn’t come to the outer lands to die for naught.

Fire burned, and smoke rolled toward the air. My 1000 Dragonlight Cavalry was able to run over the Fire Scale Cavalry like they didn’t even exist. Even Tiger Leopard Knight had turned his forces around to join us.
While the battle was coming to a swift end, Tiger Leopard Knight rode up to me and pointed to the northeast. “Copper Spear is chasing after a couple dozen Dragonlight Cavalrymen over there!”
I nodded. “Let’s go!”

We rode up a hill once more, and right below a slope was Copper Spear firing a flurry skill at a Dragonlight Cavalry and killing them. His armor was covered in rainwater.
My eyes turned steely. “Tiger Leopard Knight, grab a couple of people and charge Copper Spear. Once he’s stunned, leave it to me to end his life!”
“Got it!”
We raced down the hill. From maximum distance, I fired Burning Blade Slash + Summon the Storm combo at Copper Spear and dropped his HP below 50%. While he was stunned, Tiger Leopard Knight struck him with Charge and stunned him for 1.2 seconds. The second and third Dragonlight Cavalrymen right after to keep him stunned a bit longer, and—

A bloody chain appeared in my hand and penetrated Copper Spear’s body. It was none other than the Chains of Freedom.
I smirked at Copper Spear and said, “You shouldn’t have come here!”
