The Mightiest Little Peasant Chapter 169

Chapter 169 - The Motorcycle is Wrecked

“Hey! Wait!”

The old and fat Taoist master rushed up to Tang Hao, clung to his arm, and begged him for jade talismans.

The thickness of his skin impressed Tang Hao.

“Are all the people from Mao Mountain as eccentric as you?” Tang Hao was getting angry.

‘Why is this Taoist master acting exactly like that scoundrel Taoist master?’

The fat Taoist master nodded seriously.

To him, losing a little dignity was a small price to pay for jade talismans.

Tang Hao had no comeback to that. “Sigh, alright! I submit! Here, take this!” He took out a bunch of jade talismans and stuffed them in the Taoist master’s hands.

The Taoist master’s eyes sparkled with joy when he saw the jade talismans.

Tang Hao quickly rode on his little three-wheeled motorcycle and escaped from the scene.

He went straight to the police station to fetch Han Yutong, who was relieved to see him return unscathed.

“Everything’s settled now. I’ve met up with Old Master Luo and we’ve reached an agreement. The Luo family won’t be looking for you for trouble,” Tang Hao said.

As they spoke, they walked from the police station to the parking lot.

“Hm!” Han Yutong replied to him half-heartedly. Her eyes were transfixed on Tang Hao’s face as her heart brought her on flights of fancy.

The scene that night replayed in her mind again.

Suddenly, she could feel her heart thumping harder and faster.

“What’s wrong, Assistant Han?” Tang Hao was a little surprised when he saw Han Yutong staring at him.

“It’s… It’s nothing!” Han Yutong shook her head and her face blushed.

Suddenly, she felt a little dejected.

She knew that her boss already had a girlfriend, and she had seen her several times. His girlfriend was much more beautiful than her.

‘Oh well! At least it’s not too bad being his assistant! I’m still close to him!’ Han Yutong thought to herself and felt a little better.

“You should take a good rest after getting home!” Tang Hao said as he waved at her.

“Yup!” She nodded vigorously, then opened her car door and stepped inside. She took one last look at Tang Hao before starting the ignition and leaving.

Tang Hao saw Han Yutong off. After she was gone, he breathed a sigh of relief.

The incident about the Luo family should be settled for now.

“I should go and look for Sis Xiangyi!” Tang Hao muttered to himself, getting more excited as he thought about that.

He hopped onto his three-wheeled motorcycle and prepared to leave the police station.

He started the ignition, but the front wheel became crooked and the entire vehicle shook violently.

“It’s broken!” Tang Hao’s heart skipped a beat.

He hopped off the motorcycle and inspected it. The vehicle was already bent in several places and it would not start anymore.

“Looks like I’ve pushed it too hard!” Tang Hao muttered to himself.

His vehicle was a very normal three-wheeled motorcycle and not forged from some special alloy. He was racing with an Audi earlier that morning, and perhaps that had hastened its demise.

“Looks like it’s time for me to get a car!” Tang Hao muttered.

He soon realized that he would need to obtain a driver’s license, and that caused him a headache. Sitting for the driving test took a lot of time and effort, and he found it very troublesome.

‘Right, I should ask Big Bro Liu and the others if there’s a faster way of getting a driver’s license,’ Tang Hao thought.

He then gave a call to Sis Xiangyi to tell her that he was safe, then sheepishly asked her if she could fetch him from the police station.

“What’s wrong?” Qin Xiangyi was confused. It was the first time that Tang Hao had called her for a ride.

“My motorcycle’s wrecked!” Tang Hao said awkwardly.

Qin Xiangyi was surprised, then broke into laughter. “Finally! I thought you’d still be driving that motorcycle for the next few years! It’s about time that you changed your ride. Didn’t I tell you to do it sooner? What’s the point of you making so much money anyway?”

Tang Hao smiled sheepishly. “I’ll get a car after I’ve obtained my driver’s license!”

“Alright, I’ll go with you to the showroom and pick a nice one!” Qin Xiangyi smiled. “You can wait there. I’ll be coming over soon.”

Less than twenty minutes later, a red sports car was seen at the end of the road heading toward the police station. It was extremely eye-catching.

Soon, the car stopped in front of Tang Hao.

In the car sat an extremely beautiful and charming woman.

Her face was smooth and flawless, and her red phoenix eyes were enchanting and seductive. Her gaze was as gentle as a pond of rippling water in the fall.

She wore a black dress, which accentuated the curves of her voluptuous body.

Her beauty was different from that of Liu Bingyao or Shi Yan’er. She was a lot more mature and carried an adult charm.

As the street lights shone on her face, a halo seemed to form on her snow-white skin, as if her flawless skin was translucent. She looked as though she had stepped out of a dream.

Tang Hao was dumbstruck by her appearance.

After taking the Jade Bone Pill, Sis Xiangyi became even more beautiful.

“Hey, bonehead!” Qin Xiangyi gave him a side-eye, though she felt happy that he was admiring her looks, “Get in the car!”

“Oh!” Tang Hao urgently got in.

“Let’s have dinner first!” Qin Xiangyi said after turning the ignition.

“Let me tell you something, Lil Tang, you’ll have to be mentally prepared,” Qin Xiangyi said suddenly as she was driving.

“What is it? You can just tell me!” Tang Hao said nonchalantly.

“Well… I plan to bring you to meet my parents,” Qin Xiangyi said after some hesitation.

“Oh! Meet your parents!” Tang Hao nodded.

Then, his brain finally processed what he heard. “What? Meet your parents?” He looked at her with disbelief in his eyes.

“Why, don’t you want to?” Qin Xiangyi said somewhat unhappily.

“No, it’s just that… it’s too sudden!” Tang Hao said awkwardly as he scratched his head.

“Well, I didn’t plan on bringing you home so soon, but my parents have been urging me to look for a boyfriend and settle down. They say that I’m already twenty-three and I ought to get married and have children soon.

“They’ve been going around trying to match me with a boy too! That’s why I didn’t want to go home. However, my grandfather’s birthday is coming soon and I have to go home for the celebration. I’d rather not cause any unnecessary drama when I’m back home, so I think it’s better that I bring you with me!

“You’ll have to be mentally prepared though. My parents will definitely dislike you. They’re traditionally-minded and they’ll think that you’re too young.”

Tang Hao nodded.

He fully understood that. He knew that Sis Xiangyi was five years older than him.

To him, five years was nothing. He could concoct a beauty cream that can make Sis Xiangyi look young. Still, not many people could accept such a big age gap in a married couple.

“When are we going?” Tang Hao asked.

“In half a month. It’ll be my grandfather’s eightieth birthday, and I’ll have to attend the celebration,” Qin Xiangyi said.

Tang Hao nodded. “Understood! I’ll prepare a special birthday present for your grandfather then!”
