When she came, it happened to be at a time where switching lessons occured. The students were fighting in the hall and corridor as they noticed her. It seemed that it was a bit awkward for a person to walk in the school with a bag; after all, school wasn’t over yet.
Perhaps the person just arrived?
Some people that were scattered along the hallways who recognized Mu Qingyao gathered together and whispered, “Is it Mu Qingyao?”
“Ah? That fake sister?”
“Seems to be.”
“She still has the nerve to come to school?”
Mu Qingyao vaguely heard or noticed what those people were talking about. Her lips pursed tightly as she tried not to care.
She didn’t know where the person she was looking for was. She walked to the classroom window of the Advanced Class and looked in to see that there were only a few people in the classroom. At this time, the other students were expected to go to the other classrooms for other lessons or elective classes.
The person she was looking for was not in the classroom.
She turned around, but was met face-to-face with Xu Xinduo.
Xu Xinduo glanced at her, not intending to say hello as she planned to walk past her directly. After realising that something was wrong, she looked at Mu Qingyao again. She reached out and raised Mu Qingyao’s chin. She took a look and asked, “Did Shen Zhuhang beat you again?”
Mu Qingyao looked at Xu Xinduo in amazement. She panicked for a while but did not answer.
Xu Xinduo asked again, “Mu Wenyan did it?”
“Mm.”
Xu Xinduo let go of Mu Qingyao and took a step back with a little more disgust expressed on her face.
Even Mu Qingyao could see that Xu Xinduo hated to mention Father Mu’s name.
Then Xu Xinduo said, “Grandma is doing well in the nursing home and I will bear all her expenses in the future. You only need to care about yourself now.”
Oh right…She has a grandma.
Mu Qingyao had no idea about this ‘grandma’ at all and she had no intention of admitting it, so she just nodded vaguely.
Xu Xinduo is really thinking too highly of me. I can barely live by myself now; how did she even expect me to take care of an old lady that I don’t even know?
Xu Xinduo then said, “Mom still has feelings for you, so she probably won’t leave you alone, but she won’t live with you anymore. Find a place to live by yourself. After all, I wouldn’t want to go back with you at home and she will take that into consideration.”
Her words are as unpleasant as ever.
Mu Qingyao looked at Xu Xinduo. She frowned slightly and said, “Xu Xinduo, I truly find your personality absolutely annoying.”
“You’re the one with a detestable personality.”
After Xu Xinduo retorted, she walked towards the other classrooms with the books in her hand.
Lou Xu was waiting for Xu Xinduo not far away.
Mu Qingyao watched Xu Xinduo leave and walked side by side with Lou Xu. Lou Xu was still looking back frequently as if she was looking at her.
Mu Qingyao hesitated for a while and didn’t do anything before walking in the other direction. Sure enough, she saw Tong Yan returning to the classroom of the International Class and he seemed to be chatting with Wei Lan.
She knew that it would be very abrupt for her to enter the International Class at this time, but she too, knew that Tong Yan would also be prepared.
She knew herself well enough and hated to admit it, but she was not Tong Yan’s opponent. Tong Yan’s regular elective classes included Jujutsu and Sanda(1) after all.
