Tong Yan was lying on his back in bed. Listening to the soft breathing sound coming from next to him, making it difficult for him to fall asleep.
He was really not used to having anyone sleeping beside him when he was trying to get to sleep. Even in the countryside, Xu Xinduo had her own room.
After a long time, he turned his head to look at Xu Xinduo.
By this time, his eyes had already adapted to the darkness of the room, enabling him to clearly see the outline of her. When asleep, she did not look as indifferent as usual, causing her to look even more adorable.
What made her look so indifferent usually was her eyes, however now that they were closed she looked a lot gentler.
At the same time as Tong Yan was having these thoughts, Xu Xinduo was deeply asleep without any care in the world. She looked just like a vulnerable little girl that needed to be taken care of.
Tong Yan wasn’t able to fall asleep for a long time. He clearly felt Xu Xinduo turning over and leaning against him.
His body was naturally warm and Xu Xinduo habitually moved towards the warmth. Xu Xinduo’s arms wrapped around his arms and her cheeks resting on his shoulder, which made it even more difficult for him to fall asleep.
The sound of her breathing right beside his ear and her warm breath tickled his skin, made him feel itchy.
Just when he was already in a daze and was about to fall asleep. He suddenly felt uneasy. When he looked over at her, he saw Xu Xinduo frowning.
I guess her stomach is upset again, isn’t it?
Even if she didn’t eat anything unhealthy, she would get sick from time to time. Tong Yan knew this better than anybody else.
Tong extended his hand to rub her belly to make her feel better, then yawned and fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Xu Xinduo opened her eyes and saw that Tong Yan’s face was actually very close to hers.
She was taken aback for a moment and looked down at herself. She was wearing Tong Yan’s pajamas. At the same moment, she realised that her hands were holding Tong Yan’s right hand, while his left hand was around her waist.
She slowly moved her body back and successfully got out of Tong Yan’s grip. However, when she got up she felt like something was getting dragged.
Looking back, she saw a strong string of thread tied around her wrist. After she got up quickly just now, she accidentally pulled Tong Yan’s body with her.
Tong Yan, who had only fallen asleep very late, was woken up early in the morning in an abrupt manner. He could not help but say in a hoarse voice, “Xu Xinduo, I should also wake you up like this in the future!”
Xu Xinduo quickly apologized: “I didn’t know that we were tied together with a string. I’ll untie it now.”
When she untied the thread, she couldn’t help but feel weird. She sat on the bed and asked Tong Yan: “Why am I here with you? I remember that I went home.”
Tong Yan was still lying in the quilt, waiting for Xu Xinduo to untie the thread. He replied: “I also want to know why you suddenly came here and started playing the piano downstairs. The most frightening thing was that my mother was there at the time.”
Xu Xinduo couldn’t remember what happened and was so distressed that she couldn’t help but ask, “I didn’t do anything, right?”
“I also want to ask you that!”
Xu Xinduo finally untied the thread. She held her face helplessly and asked him, “Why is there thread tied between us?”
“You were making trouble.” Tong Yan turned over after answering, “Don’t make so much noise, I want to go back to sleep.”
Xu Xinduo knew that she was wrong this time and did not dare provoke Tong Yan. She went into the bathroom to take a bath.
