Trees reached for the sky. The roads were filled up with thorny bushes. Mist blurred the vision. Insects lurked, and so did beasts.
This was the Paleo-beast Realm, a place dotted with mountains and valleys. There was practically no road. If Lu Li were not a warrior, it would be difficult for him to move a step.
But this was not a problem for him. He snuck around like a sly fox and did not touch one single leave. Leveraging psychic power, he had found the best way and dashed toward a huge mountain ahead.
That was a mountain with a height of over twenty miles, laced with beasts’ nests. Given the number of caves and view from afar, the mountain looked like a bee’s hive.
Living on the mountain was a strange beast with bodies like wolves, but had horns on the noses. The beasts’ eyes were dark blue in color and so was their fur, which was quite beautiful. Their knees had spikes. Their tusks were long and sharp.
Those beasts were of the fifth rank, not quite high. But Lu Li did notice with psychic power that some of them had purple fur instead of blue and had progressed to the sixth rank. When the fur turned dark purple, the beasts would be at the seventh rank.

Some of the beasts were standing on the rocks outside the cave, howling to the moon in the sky. Their horns were kindling as if they were absorbing radiance from the sky to cultivate.
“Howl…”
The howling ebbed and flowed. Looking from the distance, Lu Li saw thousands on the rocks, howling into the moon.
“Well, there are some Beast Kings but no Beast God!”
Lu Li checked quietly as he floated toward the mountain. This time, though, he did not try to conceal his tracks. Instead, he swaggered his way over.

Lu Li stayed calm and flew on. Several beasts had reached him. He poured out Xuan Energy and knocked them away.

More and more beasts were coming. Lu Li’s Bead of Life came out from his abdomen. Then, the Feather Wind castle was established, covering an area with a radius of over a mile. Thousands of beasts were within the sphere of influence.

Lu Li did not know the exact number of beasts in the mountain. There were only constant blue blurs coming at him from the mountain. Soon, Lu Li disassembled the Feather Wind castle and built another one, covering up the thousands that had come.

After the time for a few breaths, Lu Li let this Feather Wind castle vanish. Those thousands of beasts that had gone into the castle fell to the ground, like moths that had fainted from fumes. The beasts lay on the grounds on all sides.

The Beast Kings were not large and they could be taken away. Lu Li put them into the Wicked Bead and then used Xuan Energy to generate some hand shadow to ground up the beasts. He then used Feather Wind weapons to kill some beasts that were trying to run away.
After the time for three incense sticks to burn, the tens of thousands of beasts in the cave were all dead. Patriarch of Law Enforcement came back. Once again, he took out the gourd and poured out flames to burn the mountain, turning the bodies into ashes.
“Let’s go!”
Lu Li waved his hand and left with Patriarch of Law Enforcement. While flying, Lu Li let out the spirit of Beast God to make sure that they were not tailed by that bats.

He does not need Zi Ji to interpret for him because Lu Li could understand and speak the human language. He answered, “I am a human but a beast as well. You do not need to know the details. What is your name? What is your kind?”
After a moment of hesitation, the beast gave an honest answer. The might of Beast God from Lu Li was real. Zi Ji was evidently a beast and a Beast God.
Many beasts could take shapes of humans when reaching the stage of a Beast God. The beast replied honestly, “My Lord, My name is Yu the Horns. We are the Horn Beast.”
Lu Li turned to Zi Ji who nodded and said, “They are the Horn Beasts. In the ancient days, they once were quite powerful. But they gradually declined later.”
“Yu the Horns, right?”
Lu Li asked again in the ancient language, “At the Paleo-beast Realm, how do you rank the species and how many powerful ones did each species has?”
Yu the Horns was surprised, wondering why Lu Li was asking about this. All the species knew about this at the Paleo-beast Realm. Was Lu Li not from the Paleo-beast Realm?
“Tell me now! I will kill you if you waste more time!” Lu Li let out more might. Yu the Horns answered obsequiously, “There are seven major species in the Paleo-beast Realm. The strongest of them all is the Nine-clawed Silver Dragon, following that is the Ghost Face Spider. The third is the Fairy Fox, and then the Ten-winged Wolf, Three-eyed Blood Ape, the Spiritual Qiong Qi, and the Magic Haechi…”
“What?”
Both Lu Li and Zi Ji were surprised. She once told him about the seven major species, but they were different from the ones they were hearing now.
Previously, the Three-eyed Blood Ape should rank number two and now they had dropped to number five. In the old days, the Ghost Face Spider and the Fairy Fox were not among the seven.
