When they were about to ascend the staircase, Lu Li insisted on carving those words or he would commit suicide. Leng Wuxin was not against him leaving a message. She released him and let him carve those words so he could set Lu Ling and the others’ minds at ease.
Lu Li followed Leng Wuxin up the staircase. If it weren’t for her, he didn’t stand a chance to go up. Leng Wuxin took out an artifact which created a shield that enveloped the two of them. Then…they were able to ascend at ease.
High above the clouds, Lu Li found himself in another bizarre world. There was another level above the Inferno.
This was a world of trees. Towering trees were abound, trees grotesque in shape. Many trees reached to the sky with trunks the size of hills. Lu Li couldn’t tell how tall or thick they were. He had been to quite a number of places but this was the first time he had ever seen trees so tall.
What was odder was that…
Boundless forests filled this level. There were no powerful Xuan Beasts. All Lu Li could see were some birds and small animals, most of which were herbivores. He didn’t even see any second rank Xuan Beasts.
Fruits were many, carpeting the ground. Lu Li felt he was drooling. He wondered how many Xuan Crystals he could earn when he collected those fruits and sold them.
Leng Wuxin saw those fruits as well but she was not interested. She didn’t harvest any of them, which was confusing for Lu Li.
For the later part of the journey, Lu Li stayed in the same lotus as Leng Wuxin rather than occupying one of his own. Leng Wuxin told Lu Li to clean himself up in a river and didn’t seem to worry that he would run away.
Leng Wuxin tied Lu Li’s hands up again after he changed into clean robes and took him into her lotus which was spacious enough for eight or ten people, let alone two.
Leng Wuxin sat on one side and sent Lu Li to another side, not worried that he would misbehave at all. The lotus was traveling at a fast speed. It flew toward the east in a straight line. In 10 days, they arrived at another towering mountain.
This one was identical to the one at the Inferno. The mountain rose to the sky and its peak was covered by clouds. There was a meandering road leading to the heavens.
Leng Wuxin didn’t engage in any conversation with Lu Li during the past 10 days. When they arrived at the mountain, she put away the lotus and took out a yellow bead which created a shield. She and Lu Li were protected by the shield. They climbed up the mountain and entered yet another strange world…
This world had nothing other than sands stretching to the horizon. This was a world of sands. It took them 10 days to fly across this world as well. During the 10 days, Lu Li saw nothing but sands, not a tree nor Xuan Beasts or any other kind of living beings. This was a land of the dead.
After the 10 days had passed, Lu Li found himself in front of another mountain. It had been more than a month since it all started and Lu Li’s injuries were almost healed. Gazing into the mountain amid the sands, he felt puzzled. Was this place composed of several layers? Was it a strange multi-layered world?
“Whoosh~”
At the entrance to the mountain road, Leng Wuxin put away the whip and was the first to fly down.
Lu Li felt his Xuan Energy could be mobilized. He flew down and asked, “Young Lady Leng, you have freed me. Why are you not worried that I might do something?”
For the first time, Leng Wuxin spoke. She gave Lu Li an indifferent glance and said, “Do something? Do you think you can run or you can kill me? You don’t have the ability to kill me yet and if you run…you may try. If you can make 20 miles, I will let you go!”

He threw a glance to the distance and asked, “Are you serious?”
Leng Wuxin nodded and answered with a grin, “I, Leng Xuxin, never lie. If you can make 20 miles, I will let go of you.”
“Okay!”
At once, Lu Li released his Fate Wheel and the soft armor emerged over his body. He held the divine weapon of Dragon King in his hands and flew slowly away.
After 100 feet, he looked back at Leng Wuxin who made no move. Lu Li was emboldened and moved further away.
200 feet, 500 feet, 1000 feet!
Everything was normal. There was no Inhibition Formation nor any signs of living beings. Lu Li felt encouraged and flew on.

Lu Li’s heart skipped a beat. Before he could react, to his front left, two pieces of land burst open as two other beasts shot out from the sands.

Lu Li was speechless that those Beast Kings were hidden underground. He was fearless of them. Silver glare filled his eyes as the two silver dragons began to hover inside. Something about him started to change. Around his body was a circulation of air. He had let out might of dragon.
The might of dragon was not him releasing Bloodline Skill. It was just a technique that came with the consumption of the claw of that Beast God. With the dragon’s might, Lu Li was able to control Beast Kings. That was how he managed to manipulate those Beast Kings at the Clouds Sea.
What happened next was to Lu Li’s bewilderment…
The three Beast Kings showed no fear. In their big eyes were coldness with no trace of emotions. Lu Li decided to step back immediately when he gazed into the three Beast Kings’ eyes.
“Whoosh~”
When Lu Li was at the top of his speed, he could be as fast as Beast Kings. Give that he was only 1000 feet away from the mountain, he arrived in no time. By the time he stepped onto the road, the three Beast Kings stopped.

Lu Li rolled his eyes. Twenty miles? He couldn’t even make one mile. No wonder Leng Wuxin freed his hands. She needn’t worry about him running.

With that said, Leng Wuxin stepped onto the road, paying no more attention to Lu Li. He had to follow her. He wouldn’t stay behind and wait for death to come to him.
