If there were no desperate resistance from these sixteen cities, then today’s destruction under the devil
army would not have been just sixteen cities.

In the crowd of The Rising Sun City, a tall gure stood upright with his hood covering his face, but his
shoulders kept trembling and the mued sobs pervaded all directions.
He was the city lord of Moon Rock City. Moon Rock City was the second city invaded by the devil army.
When the Desert City was attacked, Moon Rock City was already ready for battle, and they had also
cleared the passage to meet the retreat of their comrades in the Desert City.
However, they waited for a long time and did not see the gures of their companions from the Desert
City. It was not until the moment before the devil army appeared that they received the news. All the
people in Desert City were killed; none were still alive.

So Moon Rock City followed the instructions and withdrew into the underground passage as soon as the
gate was broken.

inability to stop the devils.
In the corner, a depressed man lowered his head and stared at the blazing lamp in his hand.
He was the city lord of Lunar Glory City. When the devil army attacked, his three sons had all died under
the hands of the armored devil soldiers. In their family of four, he was the only one of them left.
His son was stabbed to death by the devils’ pikes in order to protect the retreat of the Priests.
When his three sons died, he was directing the transfer of personnel in the city. He watched helplessly as
his son died in front of him; he could not rush up.
Because he was the city lord of Lunar Glory City, it was his responsibility to get all the people in the city to
safety.
He was a father and a city lord.
But the moment the war started, he could only be the city lord. To protect more people, he could only
abandon his own sons.
Hatred?
He hated it; he hated those ferocious devils.
Regret?
He didn’t regret anything, because these were the people of his city.
Sadness enveloped the whole Barren Land. The dead were remembered by their companions, but those
who survived had no joy at all. Their hearts were only lled with monstrous hatred. Their hatred towards
the devils made them stronger and rmer.
With the will of their fallen comrades, they would continue to ght the devils until the invaders were
expelled from the Radiance Continent and the world was at peace again.
