This made Li Shi Ying taken aback for a bit. She thought that the empress would be like an evil witch or something but who would have known she too could show such a motherly expression?
Even the other ladies were all shocked. That gaze…they had only seen the empress with that gentle gaze when she talked to Lady Yan. Now the Empress also acted like this toward Li Shi Ying…this means the girl already gained the empress’ full favour.
