Li Shi Ying was protected with the robe Long Ao Zhen wore before. Long Ao Zhen held the robe completely covering Li Shi Ying head and upper body.
The outer robe Long Ao Zhen used wasn’t a normal clothes. It was waterproof. So the robe could perfectly protected Shi Ying from the rain.

There was a big mudhole in front of the cave entrance. Maybe because of the heavy rain before, creating a large mudhole filled with a lot of water right in front of the cave.
Li Shi Ying and Long Ao Zhen had wanted to avoid the mudhole by walking in circle.
Just when Li Shi Ying and Long Ao Zhen about to enter, a tiger beast ran pass them in a high speed, creating a splash when he ran.
The tiger made the water in the mudhole splashed in great amount to Li Shi Ying and Long Ao Zhen direction.
“Young miss!” Long Ao Zhen quickly hugged Li Shi Ying in his arm as he moved to block the water splash with his back. The outer robe he had been using to cover Li Shi Ying head, fell to the ground because of Long Ao Zhen sudden movement.
SPLASH!
The cold water hit Long Ao Zhen body and instantly drenched him wet from his head to his toe. On the contrary Li Shi Ying was also drenched from the rain but only her hair was wet and some parts of her clothes.
The other part was dry because Long Ao Zhen hugged her with his big body.
Jiu Wei: 😶 that tiger must be the golden tiger relative hahahahaha.
Poor Jiu Wei who didn’t have anyone protecting him, also got splashed by the water.
Li Shi Ying was startled when Long Ao Zhen suddenly pulled her and hugged her into his embrace. She didn’t know what’s going on but when she saw Long Ao Zhen wet body, she understood
Chen….had been protecting her from the splash!
Her heart beat faster when she realized it. She was safe inside his embrace, feeling his warmth and his faint fragrance while Chen was drenched from his head to his toe.
The water must been cold and that water drenched Chen body till his clothes was seen through.
Li Shi Ying heart felt warm with Chen caring action. If she remember right, from the first time they met….he had been continuously protecting her.
This feeling of being cared of felt different from Jiu Wei treatment. Li Shi Ying could felt a seed of trust and affection starting to grow in her cold heart.
