While Li Shi Ying was struggling with her fever, Long Ao Zhen went back to the upper realm. He arrived there when the night came and he directly went to the Long kingdom from the entrance of upper realm.
The upper realm have 7 kingdom which is divided according to the mythological beast clan. The Long Kingdom is a kingdom for dragon. Feng Kingdom is occupied by phoenix. Bai Kingdom is where the white tiger clan lived. Hei Kingdom is a black tortoise kingdom while Du Kingdom is for unicorn clan. The other is Fei Kingdom which is made for pegasus and the last one is Qi Kingdom, a kingdom for Qilin family.
From the entrance of upper realm, Long Ao Zhen took a teleportation portal to arrived inmediately at Long Kingdom.
When he arrived, he flew away in his original form to the Dragon Palace where he live.
“Welcome back third prince!” A dozen of servants in a human form with dragon horn on their heads, bowed down in unison.
Long Ao Zhen didn’t even take a single look at the servants as he strode in to the empress residence.
At the Empress Residence Hall.
A beautiful middle-aged woman was sitting on the main seat. Her aura was soft but imposing. Her golden hair was tied up in a beautiful way. Her head was decorated with several shiny jewels. Her red lizard-like eyes were blinking beautifully as she sipped her tea quietly.
The woman was wearing a green jade dragon crown on her head and her dark green dress was embroidered with golden dragon pattern.
There were 2 young and pretty maidservants on her left and right side. The maidservants clothes and hairstyle were the same. They were wearing a simple light green dress and there was a dragon horn on their head.
BANGG!!
The door to the hall was opened suddenly.
Long Ao Zhen who was already changed back to his human form, opened the hall door with brute strength as he strode in alone. He ignore the nearly faint servants outside.
He cast a cold gaze to the maidsevants and said one short word that could made anyone broke in cold sweat. “Chair”
The two maidservants knee were trembling and they quickly prepare a chair for the third prince.
Long Ao Zhen sat down and crossed his leg in a very elegant movement. He gave the maidservants another cold glance and yell “Scram!”
From his aura alone, all the servants and maidservants in the empress palace knew that the third prince must be in a very bad mood.
Even without him asking the maidservants to leave, they would be very glad to leave anytime.
The two maidservants didn’t even give a salute before running like a rabbit meeting a wolf.
The whole hall fell into deep silence.
The empress looked at her son with a tinge of guilt in her eyes but she didn’t say anything. Her finger which was holding a tea cup trembled and her other hand clutched her dress tightly.
Long Ao Zhen tapped the armchair with his finger without giving his mother a single glance from the moment he went in till now.
After a moment of silence he finally spoke in a low voice. “…Explain”
His voice sounded cold but you could heard a slight tremble in it.
Long Ao Zhen cold face didn’t show any emotion but deep inside his eyes, there was a sense of hurt. Hurt to be betrayed by her kind and sweet mother.
Why? Why would she do that to me? Ever since i was a child…she was always sweet and kind…she wasn’t someone that could drug his own son with aphrodisiac!
The empress lowered her head and casted down her eyes. She didn’t have the courage to look straight into her beloved son’s eyes.
The empress bit her lips slightly before answered in a soft voice “Ao Zhen….it is all mom’s fault…i-if that day i didn’t let Lian Hua made the tea…y-you wouldn’t be like this….”
Her voiced was choked and tears began to wet her beautiful face. Her hand was still trembling and her face showing a great amount of regret.
Long Ao Zhen couldn’t bear to see her mother’s cry. His face softened and he stood up to comfort her.
“So it wasn’t mom’s doing at all?” Long Ao Zhen wiped out her mother’s tears with his handkerchief.
“No…mom didn’t even know about it! That day mom invite you to drink tea because Lian Hua pleaded mom to do so…she was also the one who prepared the tea…” The empress shook her head gently.
Long Ao Zhen sat down slowly and nodded his head “I believe you mom…”
“Ao Zhen….even if mom want you to quickly get married…mom wouldn’t do such a lowly thing as drugged you….” The empress wiped out her tears and calmed down herself.
“Yes mom sorry i wronged you” Long Ao Zhen said in mild tone. So his mom wasn’t the culprit! Hmph! He already has a feeling that someone was tricking her mom to drugged him!
