The girl sighed as she was defeated by Mao Mao’s sad expression. He was just too cute when he became gloomy like that!
Mao Mao’s dark face instantly brightened, “Good, good! I’ll take a bath and change my clothes first, you wait here okay?” The young man abruptly stood up and rushed out of the room. He headed to the bathroom provided for the officials at the palace.
Seeing the young man was already gone, Fen Wén could only blankly stare at the door, not knowing what to do. A while later, laughter escaped her lips, “Hahahaha! Ah ah, Mao Mao…why are you so sure??”
Fen Wén almost rolled on the floor while laughing out loud. She didn’t know why but she felt super happy at the moment despite the terrifying incident before.
In her eyes, Mao Mao was still as cute as usual! No, he’s even cuter than before. The way he rushed to take a bath like that…could she say that he was also eager to go to the festival?
Fen Wén giggled happily thinking like this. The girl hurriedly stood up and headed to the large copper mirror near the bed in Mao Mao’s office.
Since Mao Mao was preparing to go out, she had to fix her appearance too! Thank God she brought the spatial ring with her.

But Fen Wén’s focus wasn’t on this. What shocked her was the colour of the clothes Mao Mao chose. It was navy blue, somehow similar to her clothes.
This…won’t they look like they’re wearing clothes for couples??
Fen Wén’s face instantly turned red like a boiled crab. Her mind exploded and her whole body suddenly felt hot.
“Mn, I’m back!” Mao Mao didn’t notice Fen Wén’s red face. He casually entered the office and looked at Fen Wén who was already dressed up nicely.
Before this, he didn’t really pay attention to the girl’s attire now he was completely awake he couldn’t help but notice Fen Wén’s appearance.
The girl was using a pink powder for her cheek making her smooth, mochi-like cheek looked like a peach of a second there. Her lips were glossy, seemed that she applied a faint-coloured lip tint.
Her hair was arranged into two small buns but she let the rest of her thick hair loosened just like that. On her hair, one could saw a sparkling blue sapphire butterfly, truly suitable with the girl’s glowing black hair.
The dress she wore today was of the sky colour, looking light and truly suit her milk-like skin.
Fen Wén looked…especially beautiful today.
Mao Mao who had just realized this couldn’t help but averted his eyes away, somehow ashamed to look at the girl’s face. He didn’t know why but his face was burning hot.
’What’s this? Am I embarrassed because Fen Wén looks so beautiful?’ The young man silently thought when his thought was interrupted by Fen Wén herself.
With an awkward smile on her face, the girl’s voice sounded in the office, “M-master shall we go now?”
Fen Wén really didn’t want to be alone together with Mao Mao in this silence office. It’s better for them to go to the festival since it would be crowded there, she won’t feel awkward anymore!
Agreeing with Fen Wén, Mao Mao smiled and said, “Sure, let’s go, ” Mao Mao waited for Fen Wén to arrive at his place near the door before escorting her out of the room.
BLAM.
The sound of the door closing echoed in the peaceful corridor. With this, the two of them were ready to go to the festival.
Both of them walked side by side and like usual, no one dared to speak up. They avoided each other’s eyes feeling awkward for no reason.
