The young ladies sighed in admiration but the older generation didn’t really pay attention to the fan dancers. These old women were strict like their husband thus they didn’t really fancy ’soft men’ like these dancers. Unlike the young ladies who liked both graceful and strong men. The older women only liked strong, burly men if possible.
They had just thought that there won’t be such a show for them when the dancers changed again! The fan dancers’ clothes suddenly dimmed down making them blend with the dark night. They looked as if they disappear and right at their original spot appeared several burly, tall handsome men wearing blue glowing clothes.
Each of the men had stoic expression unlike the fan dancers before which had a gentle smile or flirtatious vibe. These men had an aura of death, they looked very strong and very…capable.
“Ohh! The emperor provided strong men too!” One of the older ladies couldn’t help but drool all over these burly men. It made their husband looked at their pot-belly and secretly cursed those dancers.
“Look, they are holding a spear” The older ladies’ friend pointed her finger to the blue spear being hold by the men. Did it seem that this time it was a spear dance? How come the emperor come up with so many creative ideas? He made everything into a dance!
The older ladies began to enjoy the show and the younger generation also felt the same. Who wouldn’t like strong men? Only the young men felt inferior and the older men felt jealous of these burly, nice-shaped men.
But no matter how amazing these dancers were, the dancers which performed near the royal family table all had to suppress their depression and not showing it to others. Why? Because once again only the lady with pink hair watched them!
Every dancer starting from the sword dancers to the latest, spear dancers all felt helpless. They were super excited when their position was near the royal family table but what happened? None of these big shots paid attention to them!
They were busy pilling up food for the newcomer human. None of them actually watched the show from the beginning to the end! The pink-haired lady was an exception though. Maybe the empress would occasionally glance at the dancers but that’s it. She too was busy tending her father-in-law.
The dancers all felt down as they finished their dance. At this moment, Li Shi Ying had finished all her meal and with a stern dedication to stop these men from fighting, calm finally went back to their table.
“It’s time for dessert” The emperor smiled as he opened the case covering the cold frozen yoghurt. There were a lot of sliced fruits and topping like sweets around the frozen yoghurt seemingly intended to be eaten along with the yoghurt.
“So this is yoghurt. Husband, you have so many creative ideas just like Li’er” The empress who had sweet tooth couldn’t help but admired the yoghurt. It was the first time she saw something like this. It must be delicious!
“Right, you have to add these ’toppings’ to the yoghurt. Since the yoghurt is sweet and sour at the same time, it will taste better with bitter toppings but well there are some who prefers fruits as the topping rather than bitter chocolate. Shi’er, try this. You too, my wife”
The emperor began to scoop a few spoonfuls of yoghurt before giving it to the empress. The man then scooped another bowl for Li Shi Ying since the yoghurt was right in front of him. “Here, you can add any toppings” The emperor immediately shoved the yoghurt to Li Shi Ying not waiting for the girl to refuse.
“T-thank you…” Li Shi Ying awkwardly received it before she scooped some bitter chocolate to be the toppings. The chocolate was in the shape of a small ball and some were in weird shape but this is what people called chocolate chips. She liked to have her frozen yoghurt eaten with these toppings.
Of course, oreo would also be great if only the emperor had some but he didn’t have any.
Seeing Li Shi Ying ate her yoghurt with a wide smile, Long Ao Zhen also followed her. He chooses fruits topping which turned out to be fresh even when it was winter. The royal family one by one ate the yoghurt and all of them had a happy smile on their face except Yan Fenghuang.
The girl is the yoghurt without emotion. Her face was flat. In fact, she didn’t really feel nothing. She felt extremely jealous at the moment. For the emperor to serve a new kind of dish just for Li Shi Ying…how could she not be jealous?
But she had to hold back her feelings. Her plan….she had arranged it pretty well. She just needed a chance to do it!
Yan Fenghuang had just about to put another spoonful of yoghurt to her mouth when the empress suddenly asked Li Shi Ying for some tea since the teapot was near her. “Li’er pour me a hot tea, please. I feel like drinking something hot”
The empress smiled from the bottom of her heart as she asked. It was always a tradition for a daughter-in-law to pour tea for their mother-in-law. So when the empress asked Li Shi Ying, it means she already approved her as a real daughter-in-law!
The empress finally showed her support blatantly like this. It means this night was a success.
