“You’re just too weak.” Yao Tang rolled her eyes, staring at all the resources he had managed to dig out. “And your pockets are too small.”
Yu Chen scowled.
This woman had already treated him as a laborer. Not only that, but she even treated him as some sort of storage! How was he going to carry all of this?
And who was she for calling him weak?
“My pockets aren’t ordinary. Not only can I carry numerous things around, but it doesn’t become heavy at all,” he argued with so much conviction in his voice. “If it weren’t for this, I won’t be able to bring all of these.”
His suit was his family’s gift to him when he was coming-off age.
If he hadn’t been so afraid about encountering the danger that awaited him, he wouldn’t have worn this.
His pockets could store all sorts of things, and it wouldn’t pierce a hole through it either. It was like he had some sort of portable suitcase.
His pockets were made up of the latest folding technology, so all the silver he had in the cart could be placed inside. That made them safe and reliable.
And now she was saying that his pockets were too small!
There was no such thing as this in the country. In fact, they were the first ones to have it manufactured.
“If that’s the case, then bring it over,” she calmly responded.
At that moment, he froze.
That’s right. He had spoke so highly about his suit.
Now, she had become interested.
How could he be so stupid?
“They’re my pockets,” he quickly said. “Besides, this suit is totally my style. It certainly wouldn’t look good on you. How about I’ll just carry everything for you, okay?”
Yu Chen smiled, wanting to put everything behind me.
“An oversized suit’s perfect. I don’t really mind,” she said firmly.
Yao Tang glanced at his shirt. “You can take it off.”
Her tone was serious.
It seemed that she really needed his shirt.
Yu Chen wanted to kneel down to her at this very moment. Naturally, he didn’t want to give this piece of clothing to her! After all, this was given to him by his clan leader.
He didn’t want to head back with no treasure in hand. Not only that, but he’d even give his own precious treasure away.
Wouldn’t his clan leader kick him out?
Just the thought of the old man’s ashen face was enough to make him shiver.
But now that Yao Tang was in front of him…He took a deep breath and glanced up at her. She was wearing a black hat and mask that blocked her entire face. Her clothes appeared to be ordinary.
Her breathing was also quite steady. It was obvious that this woman was powerful.
“How about this?”
Yu Chen tilted his head. “Can I prepare a new one for you instead? You must know that this suit of mine keeps the DNA information of the previous owner. Even if you were to acquire it, you still wouldn’t be able to use it.”
He gazed up at her.
While he couldn’t see her looks, he was expecting her to react.
What he didn’t expect was for him to stare right at him, as if she could see through all of his thoughts.
“I can remove that. Just give it to me.”
She then continued, “After all, your suit appears to be very important. I need that technology to transport some objects. I don’t want to trouble you any further.”
Her tone was calm as if she wasn’t taking his belongings outright.
There wasn’t even the slightest change in her gaze.
Yu Chen was speechless.
If he had known about this earlier, he wouldn’t have exposed himself.
Now, this girl wanted his treasure!
Yu Chen finally understand what it meant to be furious.
However, he could only bite his lips in frustration.
“How about this?”
Yao Tang stretched out her fingers, grazing her nails against his neck. He flinched. “Do you want me to just snatch it from you instead?” she slowly said. “When you die, that shirt of yours would lose its bond with you, right? Then, it wouldn’t be troublesome for me anymore.”
The threat in her words was far too obvious.
