The old man turned his head, not bothering to look at Yao Ran anymore. It was as if he was exhausted from talking to her.
The four-star judge immediately shot her a look. “You may not know much about his identity, but I can tell you right now that he has every right to change the rules.”
“Then why don’t you tell me who he is? We’re all participants in this assessment. Don’t we have the right to know who he is?”
Yao Ran’s voice trembled.
She was barely able to hold it together, but she made sure that every single word she spoke was strong and firm.
The only thing she needed was an explanation. If she wasn’t able to pass the assessment, then she had to know every single detail.
After all, she’d be scolded by Qin Man as soon as she had gotten back.
If she argued with him now then she might have the chance to change the outcome. That way, she wouldn’t have to explain anything to Qin Man when she’d return.
Yao Ran knew that the results of the test depended on the cooperation between the members of the orchestra. But she needed to change things for her.
While she’d only see these judges once in a blue moon, she’d see Qin Man every single day.
The last thing she wanted was to disappoint her.

As soon as these words were delivered, Yao Ran almost fell to the ground. Her face darkened.
She had worked so hard for this, and now this position would be given to someone else.

“Do you have any more questions?” The judge glanced over at Yao Ran. “If not, then the examination would officially end.”
