908 Yu Chen was Exposed
They didn’t really intend to abduct these two. It was simply a last resort, a way to get back at them somehow. If it turned out to work in their favor, then that would be most ideal.
Qin Hao followed Cheng Yan’s instructions and removed the rags from the captives’ mouths.
As soon as she was free to speak, Xiao Bing’s rage bubbled up her throat. If it hadn’t been for Yu Chen, they wouldn’t be in this predicament, to begin with.
“Grandfather. Let it be known that this disciple of the Yu family is gallivanting about, pretending to be a member of the Xiao family.”
She turned to glare at Yu Chen. “You brought outsiders with you through the door, and even used Brother Xiao Feng’s name without permission. Have you no shame?”
Xiao Bing belatedly realized that Old Master Yu was also present. She wasted no time and added, “Old Master Yu. How fortunate that you are here as well. Please enlighten us on this matter. Is this the kind of behavior you preach to your successors?”
Just like that, Yu Chen was exposed.
He had felt guilty at first, but the more he listened to Xiao Bing, the angrier he got. “Are you a child? Is complaining to the elders and telling on your adversaries all that you know to do?”
Alas, Xiao Bing was only speaking the truth.

“If you hadn’t broken the rules, then I wouldn’t have any reason to complain in the first place! Even now, you show no remorse nor any intention to repent. How foolish.”
Xiao Bing glared at Yu Chen, her eyes blazing.
Needless to say, the feeling was mutual. “Why are you attacking me, anyway?” Yu Chen retorted. “So, you think I’m stupid? Just because the Xiao family has taken you in—”
“Enough!”
Old Master Yu roared, interrupting Yu Chen’s words and making him jump in fright.
He had never heard his grandfather sound so imposing.
As far as he could remember, the old man had always been very protective of him and doted on him the most. But now, he was so cold and fierce that Yu Chen felt his body shrivel in fear.
“Tell me, why did you use the name of the Xiao family when you were outside? And the name of the Young Master Xiao, at that!” Old Master Yu knew that this was no trivial matter.
If they didn’t resolve this soon, the Xiao family would surely retaliate. They would not be merciful, either.
Old Master Yu scowled at Yu Chen in disappointment. He had allowed his grandson to travel outside the valley not only to train, but to also broaden his horizons. Little had he known that the rascal would only be stirring up trouble.
Yu Chen raise his chin and defended himself with the utmost confidence. “Didn’t you tell me not to cause trouble for the Yu family? As long as I do not carry the Yu name, then the Yu family would not be suffering from my actions!”
There was nothing wrong with that, now, was there?
It wasn’t his fault that people were gullible enough to believe them. It was their problem!
They wouldn’t have been fooled if they weren’t so dimwitted.
A pregnant silence fell in the room as everyone gaped at him in disbelief.
So, his reason for pretending to be someone else all this time was to keep his shenanigans from being traced back to the Yu family?
What kind of absurd, nonsensical logic was that?
Yu Chen’s mind worked differently from the rest, that was for sure. In the end, they could only sigh in defeat.
As for Old Master Yu, he was mortified. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides, and his face had turned an alarming shade of red. And to think that this had all unfolded in front of the Old Master Xiao.
That was probably the worst part of this entire ordeal!
“You stinking brat! I’ll beat you to death, just you wait!”
Old Master Yu raised his fist and was about to lunge at Yu Chen. Regardless of his affection for his grandson, he knew that he had to teach the boy a lesson once and for all.
Unexpectedly, Qin Hao stopped him before he could take a step forward.
“Please calm down. It would be best that you stay put for now.” Qin Hao’s face was devoid of any emotion, but he stood in front of Yu Chen resolutely, blocking him from Old Master Yu’s view.
Old Master Xiao was outraged by this.
A single word kept repeating over and over inside his head: “Shameless!” The Yu family was shameless, through and through.
Old Master Yu was one thing, but his grandson was far worse. The boy didn’t even think he had done anything wrong! It seemed that he had inherited all the deplorable traits the Yu family had to offer.
He reminded himself yet again to forbid the children in his family to interact with anyone from the Yu family. The young ones might pick up their nasty habits.
“Rest assured, Brother Xiao. One day, I shall come and give your family a proper explanation for this.”
Old Master Yu rubbed his hands together in embarrassment. He wanted to save some face and give his grandson a good beating, but there was little he could do for now.
As it was, he only wanted a hole to open up at his feet and swallow him to its depths.
