From the way, Yao Ran had spoken to Old Madam Yao just now, it seemed that their relationship wasn’t as good. If that was the case, there was no need to be polite.

The guests came to persuade you one after the other.

Yao Rong also joined in upon seeing the tense atmosphere.
He couldn’t make this situation even worse.
When Old Madam Yao saw that her youngest son had spoke up for her, she couldn’t help but feel a little lighter in her heart.
What was so good about accepting the gift? If she really had accepted it, then wouldn’t it mean that she was accepting the marriage between Yao Ran and Director Yang? What about Yao Tang? She couldn’t just abandon her daughter!

This Yao Family looked like they have come from the countryside.
It was just a small birthday present, yet they spent a long time deliberating over it. This was just petty! Just the sight of them was enough for them to make their stomach churn.

The group of people immediately piled in.
When they heard of the gifts, the crowd couldn’t help but discuss amongst themselves.
“I wonder who gave this to her. It even includes a red coral.”
“Luckily, I didn’t give him any gifts related to red corals. Otherwise, I would be outdone.”

Staring at the people who had just come out, Director Yang couldn’t help but sneer in disdain.
It was obvious that one gift wasn’t enough. They must’ve not invested in it as much. There were three gifts, and one of them actually was a red coral. It must be one of the cheap ones sold in the market.
Hiding the disdain in his eyes, he turned to the old woman. “Why not show the gifts so that I’ll be able to broaden my knowledge as to what type of gifts you accept, Madam?”
