After they left, a furious perfumer started to shout, “In front of everyone here, two men pull on her while four men surround her. How shameless!”
Xu Lu stared at the person who shouted, “Do you know who those two men are?!”
The perfumer said, “Why would I care? It’s not like I should be scared of them?!”
“Wow, how capable are you? You aren’t even scared of third young master Jun and first young master Qi?”
“W… What…” The person stammered.
“One of them is her brother while the other is her boyfriend. So what if they act intimate?” Xu Lu continued, “You are the person who’s never seen the world and don’t know those two. Behind her is young master Gong, the CEO of our company. He was the one who took the draw for us. No way you didn’t see?”
“For you to condemn a person so publicly… you really think you can go up against young master Gong? Or do you think you’re better than young master Qi and young master Jun? Or maybe, you think you can single-handedly outshine the internationally famous Qiao Qing?!”
The person’s face went pale. The others who all glared and talked trash showed signs of fear. They all started to step back as they debated whether or not they should stay.
Just then, the short-haired perfumer from Xu Pingting’s team said, “I’ve never witnessed anyone kiss *ss so hard. So what if they’re from wealthy families? It doesn’t mean they can stop others from speaking freely.”
“Plus, what’s wrong with what she said? So what if she is the God of Racing and is Feng Ci. So what she is internationally well known? Her perfume is of poor quality.”
“Look around – this is a fragrance competition, not a race. So what if she drives well? That’s got nothing to do with what we are here for. It was unfair for her to make it this far. Why can’t we speak up for ourselves?!”
The fearful perfumers finally gained some confidence, “Exactly! It’s a world ruled by laws! I never stole and never snatched! I’m only complaining because of the unfair rules. What are they going to do with us?”
The short-haired woman said, “Xu Lu, how much did Qiao Qing pay you for you to take her side?”
“If your team wasn’t all above average, you would’ve been eliminated thanks to Qiao Qing.”
“As the lead perfumer for the Gong Corporation, you shouldn’t take an outsider’s side! You should be feeling unfair for your team!”
“I now wonder if you have no team spirit or if you’ve been bribed?”
The Gong Corporation perfumers all displayed signs of fury.
Guo Qingfen said angrily, “Exactly! She’s been taking Qiao Qing’s side ever since Qiao Qing joined. Also.. sigh, whatever. That girl is rich and can pay off people.”
“We are lucky she didn’t drag us down and get us eliminated. The next round is the individual’s round. She won’t be able to drag us down no matter how trash she is.”
The other perfumers all nodded.
“You are all revealing your true selves since CEO Gong isn’t here?” Xu Lu shook her head, “Ms. Qiao tried to save you. I feel bad for her kindness. It’s true that not everyone knows how to repay their debt.”
Guo Qingfen’s face dropped and the other perfumers all started to look awkward.
Guo Qingfen shouted back, “What do you mean she tried to save us? If it weren’t for her, we never would’ve been fired! Now you’re acting like she’s our savior?! How laughable!”
The other perfumers from the Gong Corporation no longer felt guilty. They all defensively stared at Xu Lu and treated her like she was a traitor.
