After Xu Pingting and her crew walked away, everyone realized that the person that spoke was a woman with short hair and glasses.
“Did I hear it wrong? Ms. Qiao said she wants to place number one?”
She then turned to the perfumes from the Xu Corporation, “I heard someone’s using Spiritual Cotton Flower in her fragrance – that person is Ms. Qiao, right?”
Her words made all the perfumers from the Xu Corporation giggle.
The perfumers from the Gong Corporation, however, didn’t dare to laugh.
Xu Lu pointed at those people’s noses, “What’s wrong with you?! What’s wrong with wanting number one?! Soldiers who don’t want achievements are not good soldiers. Who wouldn’t want to place number one? You dare to say you don’t want that spot?!”
“I do want it,” The woman with short hair answered, “But I am aware that even our Ms. Xu wouldn’t arrogantly claim the number one spot. That person doesn’t even know how to make perfume, yet she’s talking so big. Isn’t that laughable?”
Xu Lu choked. She was about to argue more when Xu Pingting asked, “I remember you. That day, you were my fan and were talking poorly about Ms. Qiao. Now, you’re suddenly on her side? Ms. Qiao, you sure are…”
She paused as she once again allowed everyone’s imagination to run wild. Finally, she chuckled, “You sure are good at pleasing people.”
“Don’t talk like that!” Xu Lu said, “I used to like you because I admired your talent. I disliked her because I thought she was an idiot who wanted to marry rich. Now that I’ve gotten to know you, I truly feel like I used to be blind!”
“Only you and I knew that Ms. Qiao used a Spiritual Cotton Flower. Yet now, everyone found out about that! What was your intention for spreading that information around?!”
Xu Pingting’s face dropped when her character was questioned.
She was about to say something more when Jun Yexuan walked over and pulled Qiao Qing into a hug. With his eyes narrowed, he glared at the perfumers from the Xu Corporation, “Have I been too lowkey? You think just because you’re in country Z, you can make fun of my girl?! You think I can’t do anything to you?!”
His words made all the perfumers gasp. They no longer dared to even breathe loudly.
Xu Lu clapped, “How cool!”
Jun Yexuan walked away with Qiao Qing in his arms. With one hand, he ruffled her hair, “Don’t care about what others have to say. Participation is what matters. So what if you can’t get placed? Your brother and I won’t laugh at you. My girl is already so good at so many things, there’s no need to be number one in everything.”
Qiao Qing, “…”
