The two men walked Qiao Qing to her room. The little firefox on her shoulder shut its eyes as if it lied to itself. If I can’t see you, then you can’t see me.
In the end, Jun Yexuan pulled it off Qiao Qing’s shoulder before she went inside.
“You want to sneak your way in?? No way!” He then tossed the firefox to the waiting Wu Yong, “Go bath it!”
Wu Yong hugged onto the firefox with much satisfaction, “Yes, sir!”
The little fox was not happy with this and started to growl at Jun Yexuan.
“Ack, ack, ack!”
Why do I need to bathe again?!
Jun Yexuan faked a smile, “You have to bathe every day. Or else you have no right to be so close to Qingqing!”
The fox, “…”
Mu Jinghang was in awe, “Third brother, how come you also know what it’s trying to say?”
“Of course.” Jun Yexuan was proud, “I’ve learned to tame animals before… I was the one who tamed Qingqing…”
Qi Yusen raised an eyebrow and was confused.
“Ah, I mean, Qingqing just knows how to speak the animal’s language.” Jun Yexuan’s face was friendly as he stared at Qi Yusen.
Qi Yusen sensed that there was more to his words and narrowed his eyes. But after staring at Jun Yexuan for a while, he couldn’t figure out what it was.
So he shifted his focus onto Mu Jinghang. Mu Jinghang covered his lips and yawned, “Oh boy, I’m tired. I’m going to bed. Third brother, brother Qi, good night.”
Qi Yusen gave Jun Yexuan another look and only left after Jun Yexuan started to show fear.
Qiao Qing went back to her room. After she washed up, she prepared to sleep only to be interrupted by a video call.
When she saw who called, she pulled her robe in tighter and picked up.
Luo Chen’s handsome face popped up.
“Qingqing, why did you leave without saying goodbye? I went to hang out with you but you weren’t home.”
Qiao Qing paused, “Sorry, I was in a rush to leave.”
“Why are you apologizing?” Luo Chen said, “But, where did you go? I asked the Qi’s but they wouldn’t tell me.”
Qiao Qing said, “I’m looking for my dad.”
“Oh,” Luo Chen’s eyes brightened, “There’s been news about uncle?”
Qiao Qing said, “Not yet, but I have to find him. Luo Chen,” She paused, “Honestly speaking, all those years I spent studying medicine was because I wanted to save my father. But I ended up saving the wrong person. I thought the person who was unconscious and lying on the operation table was my father.”
“I spent years studying medicine just to save him. Now that he’s awake, I realized that I saved the wrong person. So now, I have to spend more effort to find him. Do you understand?”
Luo Chen’s eyes now brimmed with pain for her. He swallowed back his words about his intention of going over to find her.
Her life was hard. He didn’t want to trouble her more.
“You’ll find uncle for sure!” Luo Chen suddenly forgot where he was doing and started to cheer for Qiao Qing, “You can do it! Though I’m not much help, if you ever get in a mad mood, you can look for me.”
Qiao Qing was appreciative. After a moment of silence, she said, “If you aren’t willing, you could tell your parents.”
She knew of his situation. Even in his current situation, he was still willing to take her negative emotions. At a time like this, she wasn’t about to just think of herself.
Luo Chen’s eyes darkened but his lips curled up, “I will deal with this myself. Qingqing, don’t worry about it. It’s late. Go to sleep.”
Qiao Qing nodded. Right after she hung up, another video call came.
