Huo Sishen suddenly said cold, “Sense of security?”
Qin Ruhai took that as Huo Sishen showing interest and started complaining. “That phoenix man is a scum. He comes home very late every night. Always says that he has work to do and is nowhere to be found. My sister is also left home by herself. Every time she complains to him, he always has all sorts of excuses. “She thinks too much.”
Huo Sishen lifted his brows. “Why is that?”
Qin Ruhai rolled his eyes. “She worries about him! He doesn’t tell her when he’s not going home. She worries that he’ll drive drunk and get into a car accident or that he won’t be able to get home because he is too drunk. She is so worried that she can’t sleep at night when he doesn’t go home and she just gets skinnier as days go on. Aye, I mean, does she really need to worry so much about him?
“I mean, for all we know, he just might be having an affair!”
Huo Sishen’s hand that was resting on his desk jerked.
He gripped tighten on the pen hovering over the document.
“She worried that something might have happened to him?”
His voice was a little hoarse.
“She was just torturing herself over nothing! She likes him. Her heart was with him and she wanted to be with him all day long. She spent day and night trying to please him and worry about him!”
As Qin Ruhai was talking, he slammed his fist down on the desk.
“Had I known this, I never would have let her marry that scum even if I had to tie her up!
“If they have no future, then they should never had been together in the past or present!”
Huo Sishen’s chin tightened and his face dropped.
Nights after nights of crying and endless waiting in bed.
What she got in return were disapprovals from others and a remark of being a fool.
If it was him, he’d never send his own sister to the wolf’s den.
That might have ruined the girl’s happiness for her entire life.
Huo Sishen lowered his black eyes. Reached out his long fingers, he pushed the desk calendar down backside up.
The girl’s birthday was immediately over the surface of the desk.
He was one with no future.
He shouldn’t be the one to bring her happiness.

He pulled out a ticket from his drawer.

Huo Sishen had already hid himself back in the shadow and refused to talk any further.
Qin Ruhai, however, dared not accept the movie ticket that he had handed over.
Especially after he had taken a look at the title of the movie. It was obviously a romance movie. Qin Ruhai took a step back.
Not to mention that there was only one of them.
Devil Huo obviously had saved that for himself.
For the purpose of going on a date with his little fiancée.
