Rise of Humanity Chapter 208

Chapter 207

Chapter 207 Interception

Long Chun’er and the ladies gazed at one another, their hearts filled with shock, “Wouldn’t this man be a squarish man? Do all the humans in the Great Wilderness look like that?”

“This … wouldn’t the description fits more like a huge crab?”

Zhong Yue was between laughter and tears, clearly the monsters were not familiar with the human Zhong Yue at all. Even the battles in the Xiao Mang Celestial Race took place in the secret realm, hence, not many images of him had made it to the outside world.

But the Xiao Mang celestial temple would surely not tell the world about their defeat and hence, when his name and image were spread to the other lands, they would usually end up twisted to deteriorate his image and reputation.

In addition to some other nefarious forces deliberately misconstruing his words, Zhong Yue’s image had gotten even weirder.

Along the way, Qing He had seen how incredibly strong Zhong Yue was, this ‘dragon’ race was too strong, so strong that he did not look like he was an Awakening Qi Practitioner at all. The little skiff was sailing in the air, most of the time he would have slain his enemies dead even before they could come close to him!

His prowess, I suppose he is already not far away from the level of Atman Body?

Qing He thought to herself, Such prowess, he is nearly invincible in the level of Awakening, I wonder who is stronger between him and the human Zhong Yue. I’d really want to see the duel between the Twin Yue’s!

However, she was also shaken at the same time, it had only been half a year since ‘Long Yue’ had gone into closed-door training, and yet his prowess had increased so greatly, she could not even see through his true prowess now!

The little skiff was sailing in the sky, passing through the clouds; another dozen days went by and the skiff was now only a thousand miles away from the Xian Kong Saint City. It was now midwinter. The sky was freezing cold but there were no ordinary living beings, such a harsh environment was endurable.

Suddenly, he stood up, casting his gaze afar as his face stiffened up, mumbling softly, “Atman Body expert….”

Qing He was shocked and her face turned ashen and pale all the while in disbelief in her heart at the same time, Are his senses really that strong that he can even perceive the Atman Body experts?

In contrast, Long Chun’er and the other three ladies were relaxed, their admiration for Zhong Yue had cast off any sense of danger from their hearts.

“Elder Sister He needs to have faith in master.”

Long Qiu’er comforted her, “Master is invincible!”

Qing He was between laughter and tears, These little brats, they don’t even understand the disparity between this heaven and earth. They have no idea how strong Atman Body cultivators are! The Atman Body Qi Practitioners are here for Zhong Yue, and they can just kill us away like petty bugs!

Zhong Yue flew into the sky from the skiff, he said, “In front of us, there is an Atman Body cultivator trying to ambush me, I can’t guarantee that I can protect you all once the battle breaks out. Qing He, bring them and go first, wait for me in the Xian Kong Saint City.”

Qing He was overjoyed and nodded, her heart filled with happiness, This is a good chance to run away from him, I just need to make my way back to Xuan Gate, and I won’t return these four pretty little girls back to him, they will be taken in as my maid servants!

“Don’t worry, I’ll come looking for you very soon.”

Zhong Yue’s voice rang in her ears as if he knew what was she planning, “I’ll catch up to you before you can even make it back to the Xuan Gate, you can’t run away from me.”

Qing He sneered coldy, powered the skiff to the max and bolted away. Zhong Yue then alighted down onto the ground and with a thought, two Jiao Dragons emerged beneath his feet, carrying him on their back while they marched forward, slithering their bodies, crossing over mountains and rivers while heading towards Xian Kong Saint City.

After marching across over hundred miles, a white mountain covered in snow came into his view. In the foothill, there was a woodcutter with a metal axe in his hand and a few bundles of firewoods on the side, the firewoods were arranged nicely, even their lengths and thickness were the same.

The woodcutter was shivering in the frosty cold air, he had a flint stone in his hand as he attempted to light a fire but kept failing. As the woodcutter saw Zhong Yue approaching, he was overjoyed and shouted, “Brother ahead, by any chance, do you have any fire? Please, this freezing weather is killing me!”

The twin Jiao Dragons slowly stopped. Zhong Yue lowered his sights and gazed at the woodcutter; he struck the figure of a simple and honest man, a monster with the head of a boar and the body of a human, thick calluses covered his palms, and he looked just like an ordinary monster boar.

Even the axe in his hand was tattered with its cutting edge ragged. He gazed at Zhong Yue with little eyes filled with hope.

Zhong Yue stamped his leg, walking down from the dragon heads and said smilingly, “It seems like poor and sad peasants are everywhere, I didn’t think that i would meet a monster that cuts firewood for a living here around Xian Kong Saint City.”

That monster boar laughed and said, “Brother you are making fun of me. The Xi monster race is a humble and low race in the East Barren, we don’t have our own territory, and so we can only work and live under the other lords. Please brother, help me light a fire.”

Zhong Yue flipped his palm, a little flame of sunfire was waltzing in the middle of his palm, he bent over and reached his hand out to ignite the bonfire. He asked, “How shall I address you, senior martial brother?”

The monster boar was cold like the winter as he cast a frosty stare at the nape of Zhong Yue’s neck, raising his axe up and cleaved down while he laughed, “I am Xi Qiao, Brother Long don’t forget me after you die.”

He was quick, but Zhong Yue was not slow either; the moment Xi Qiao raised his axe up and cleaved down, a ray of saber flashed over, from the bottom to the top, a blade slashed up and parried the ragged axe!

Dang——

A loud and sharp din blasted in their ears, the axe was crushed by the seventeen feet long Fang Blade. Xi Qiao was shocked, he quickly leaped back and his body started to transmute, turning bigger and more muscular; his thick mane grew longer and bristled out like needles, especially at the nape of his neck!

Dong!

Xi Qiao landed down onto the ground and quaked the earth, when Zhong Yue looked over again, he had now transformed into boarman. Fangs were extruding out from his mouth, his eyes shone bright like lanterns, and he looked like a black wild boar standing on its hind legs like a human!

“It seems like you’ve noticed it, Long Yue of the Eastern Sea, you are indeed strong! And the godly fang is indeed worthy of its name, even my Mountain-Cleaving Axe was broken away! But you are still too naive as I’ve already trapped you in my array formation!”

That monster boar guffawed, —Pang pang pang— the firewood in bundles blasted out from the strings and dispersed towards every direction before drilling themselves into the ground – they were in fact, totem pillars in disguise!

As these totem pillars were planted, they grew madly at an unearthly speed, the firewood germinated and sprouted promptly. It was midwinter, cold and frosty but they nonetheless grew exuberantly as if it were the springtime. In an instant, a forest had formed around Zhong Yue!

The skyscraping trees were engraved with totem patterns that glimmered in faint lights. One after another, the totem patterns extended out from the trees and interweaved together!

“I know you are a coward who has mastered the arts of fleeing, but this array formation is called the Wild Boar Forest, I specially made this for you. When this array formation is cast, it will shroud the area of a twenty miles in radius, not a single bug can fly out of here! In my Wild Boar Forest, you’ll have to subdue to me even if you are a dragon!”

The monster boar stood tall and high, white steam billowed out from the nostrils as he laughed out loud; before his laughter subsided, the earth suddenly quaked violently. One after another, Jiao Dragons extruded out from the ground and gnawed at the skyscraping trees, wholly eating them away.

In the blink of an eye, countless trees were devoured by the Jiao Dragons into the ground!

Xi Qiao was shocked, the Wild Boar Forest he had spent all his effort in making was broken off just like that!

The trees were crushed away, leaving only Zhong Yue and Xi Qiao facing squarely at one another.

The monster boar lowered his sights onto Zhong Yue. The former’s face drastically darkened, “You’ve hidden your Jiao Dragons in the underground all these while? Since when have you seen through my cover?”

Zhong Yue held the Fang Blade, along with the hilt, the Fang Blade was nearly twenty feet long, he raised his head and said smilingly, “I sensed you from a hundred miles away, and when I arrived, I saw a woodcutter who didn’t even show the slightest sign of tiredness after chopping down so many trees. Furthermore, cutting down trees is an intense exercise that would warm your body and yet you said you were cold. Sure enough, there must be some trickery going on. A strong and honorable Atman Body cultivator deigned yourself to be a wild boar monster, Brother Xi Qiao, you are truly a shameless rascal.”

“Wasn’t all of these hassles done because of you being a master coward in running away, and that I’m afraid that you will slip away from my hands?”

Xi Qiao flickered his body, his thick manes bristled out like thousands of needles blasting in the air over at Zhong Yue while he strode forward and launched a punch from the side, smirking nefariously, “But it’s fine for you to see through the cover, then we can go straight into the heat of the battle! Today, I’ll batter you to death and avenge the boar brothers that died by your hand!”

Zhong Yue bellowed furiously, his Yuan Shen emerged on his back while he opened the five wheels; ignoring the needles that shot over, he raised the Fang Blade and parried Xi Qiao’s humongous punch!

Krong——

The saber and fist clashed into one another and quaked the earth, a sixty to seventy feet long rift cracked from the middle of the collision; and the after impact quaked the little mountain nearby them, it slowly crumbled into half at the middle!

Zhong Yue was sent flying by the overbearing strength launched by the Atman Body cultivator’s fist, he was in mid-air when the needles blasted over through his Yuan Shen five wheels and perforated through him, soaking themselves with his blood.

Zhong Yue released a dreadful battle cry while dragons wreathed around his body. Meanwhile, Xi Qiao leaned forward and turned into a mountainous black wild boar, galloping like a mad horse and rammed over at Zhong Yue with two of his fangs like two seventy feet long sharp blades!

Just as the black boar started to build up his momentum, blood spurted out from his right front hoof as it detached from his body—Zhong Yue had sliced off his hoof when he swinged his saber!

The black wild boar slammed heavily onto the ground and slid a distance away, crushing down the woods along the path like a beast that ravaged the land.

“My hand, my hand!”

The black wild boar growled in pain, the bloody needles took a turn and shot back again right at Zhong Yue. Right away, Zhong Yue was alerted by a sense of crisis that rose in his heart, as Xi Qiao came to a stop, he launched out the two seventy feet long fangs from his mouth like sabers at him.

Zhong Yue released a loud cry, he hurled the Fang Blade and slashed at the two boar fangs, the three sabers collided in the air incessantly like three thunderbolts. Meanwhile, the bloody needles were right before him, he yelled loudly and rapidly spun all the five wheels, casting them forward like shields to fend down the bloody needles.

Bang Bang Bang——

Sounds of eruptions blasted in their ears unceasingly, the bloody needles, thin and small and yet strong like hammers swarmed like bees and rammed into his five light wheels, forcing Zhong Yue backwards.

Xi Qiao leaped into the air, stood up like a human with his head lowered and leaned forward. He shoved towards his opponent like a full-blown charge of a barbarous wild beast that could even push the world down with his indomitable momentum.

“Million Miles The Dragon Soars!”

Zhong Yue moved like a Jiao Dragon, bolting away at a great speed with the Fang Blade following closely on his heels. Xi Qiao growled in anger and recalled his fangs back into his mouth as they were now ragged and tattered. This caused his heart to ache in pain.

Gently, he inspected one of his fangs with his fingers, —Crack— a deep chasm cracked at the middle of the fang and suddenly, it broke off cleanly. Anger surged in his heart as he exhaled out a furious breath. He mustered all of his strength and channeled it into his legs and chased after Zhong Yue. He shouted out, “My hand, my fang … you little rascal, stand down and fight with me squarely!”

Zhong Yue was like a soaring dragon, slithering his way like a bolt of lightning; all of a sudden, it was as if a gigantic gate stood between two mountains—a monster bird with a human torso stood with his legs widely split between one mountain to the other. The wings of an eagle rested elegantly on his back, his eyes were freezing cold as he stared at Zhong Yue closing in. He smirked and said, “Long Yue, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time….”

“Brother from the Ying family, be careful of his saber!”

Behind Zhong Yue, Xi Qiao prompted loudly, “This little rascal has forged the godly fang into his weapon….”

A ray of saber made a marvelous arc across the sky, brushing past the crotch of the Ying family Atman Body cultivator; he jolted upwards into the air with his hands covering his crotch while he gave a shrill cry, “My bird, my bird!”

In the world birthed by Pangu, the Three Sovereigns lit the spark of humanity that the Five Emperors would later fan into a blazing fire, eternally branding humanity as the leaders of the world…. This was a time where twilight had descended on the reign of the Human Sovereign and the Five Emperors had yet to emerge – humanity was merely one of the myriad races wandering about the vast cosmos. This was a desolate and barren era. The monsters, devils, heavenly gods, and deities of all races stood aloft; with the demons, heavenly souls, and spirits dancing freely around the world. The humans were still a feeble and burgeoning race, often taken as livestock and offered as sacrifices to the pantheon of races that ruled the world together from within the great wilderness. This was not the era of the Foreworld, but the barbaric and untamed era of uncivilization! Let us rewind back to China’s ancient and classical mythology and recount the legendary tale of how a single figure led humanity out of an epoch of darkness and into a new dawn. Please sit back, relax and enjoy the (Rise of Humanity) !
