Rise of Humanity Chapter 129

Chapter 128

Chapter 128 – The Divine Third Eye

“If Brother Long Yue manages to defeat me, then you will be acknowledged as the best among the monster Rebirth Qi practitioner.” said King Teng as he walked towards the second stage while turning back and smiling towards Zhong Yue.

“What an arrogant brat!”

Shouted the angry Xin Huo and he said, “He is much more annoying than that Yu Xuanji!”

“With his capabilities, it truly is in a position to say that. It would only be asking for trouble if he were to say that without having the abilities to justify it.”

Zhong Yue continued walking as he continued, “But within the Rebirth level, those who behave in that way in front of me are definitely looking for trouble.”

Xin Huo replied in praise, “Brat Yue, you are arrogant as well, but I like it!”

Zhong Yue smiled and did not reply. He also had the abilities to behave arrogantly as he hadn’t wasted a single second during his tenure in the tunnel. With the strong and powerful five elemental sword qi he commanded, he definitely had the rights to behave as such!

On the pontoon, the totem carvings of the Monster God Ming King would appear and pass through their body once they stood on the pontoon. They would be fine so long as they were able to synchronize their totem carvings of the Monster God Ming King with the ones that pass through them.

Other than that, Zhong Yue could even feel his physique constantly undergoing refinement through the mysterious power created when he synced his totem carvings with the totem carvings of the Monster God Ming King!

In truth, the test was not only a simple test. For those able to seize the opportunity, it was also a chance for everyone to temper themselves tremendously through utilizing the totem carvings of the Monster God Ming King to enhance their physique!

He also felt that the mysterious power was increasing the power of his body much better than the Sun Moon Prodigious Emanation Art!

After all, the mysterious power came from a god, which is naturally stronger than any Qi Practitioner’s self-produced power.

Other than that, he could also feel that his own Monster God Ming King’s totem carvings were becoming more and more solid and even more powerful as part of the totem carvings on the pontoon had merged into his totem carvings.

On the other hand, King Teng, Yu Xuanji and the others had also noticed incredibly rare chance as they continued to work harder to strengthen their physique through the totem carvings on the pontoon!

However, there was also another Qi Practitioner who lost his life as his flesh and bones started to fall from his body before eventually collapsing. Similar to the one previously, the Qi Practitioner was oblivious to his death and he continued walking towards the front.

Yu Xuanji, Hu Qimei and the others immediately looked at him. When the Qi Practitioner noticed their glances, he felt confused at first before quickly coming to realize the truth. His face immediately changed and he said with a trembling voice, “Am I dead already?”

Yu Xuanji and the others immediately nodded to his question and after that, the Qi Practitioner resigned himself to his lamentations before his skeleton collapsed and fell into the abyss to join the myriad of other skeletons.

There were only about fourteen Qi Practitioners including Zhong Yue that had made it to this point, but two of them had already died on the first stage!

“Screw this Monster God Ming King’s Art! My life is more important, I am leaving right now. Who’s with me?”

On the first stage, a monster Qi Practitioner could not cope with the stress anymore and he got up and said, “Everyone thinks that the Monster God Ming King’s Art they cultivated is the most orthodox one, but who could guarantee theirs are the most accurate ones? Which is more important? Your life or the art? Who is coming with me?”

He waited for awhile but was disappointed to see the obvious disinterest from the remaining four Qi Practitioners on the stage as they didn’t even flinch, remaining seated as they continued to cogitate on the Monster God Ming King’s Art.

The Qi Practitioner gritted his teeth and walked towards the stairs alone. However, when he almost step foot on the stairs, something struck him and cold sweat immediately started percolating on his forehead.

This was all because he cooperated with the others to solve the seals on the stairs when he entered the palace. But now, with him alone, these hundred and eight steps of stairs now posed a nigh-insurmountable threat, akin to a sword hanging over his head by a thread!

There’s still a slight chance for me to survive. But if I continued with the Monster God Ming King’s Art, I would be dead for sure with even slightest mistake! I can still remember some of the patterns so I might be able to survive.

The Qi Practitioner’s face turned pale and he gritted his teeth while he landed his feet on the stairs. Suddenly, the area was lit up with a blinding flash of light, which upon its withdrawal, there remained a pile of ash. The Qi Practitioner was completely incinerated!

With that, there were only eleven Qi Practitioners that remained on the stage and the pontoon.

Suddenly, King Teng let out a groan as the third divinity eye of his was pierced and started to bleed. He inhaled a long breath and lights began to glow in his third eye, repairing it, after which, he continued walking towards the front under the pressure.

The scene made the Qi Practitioners on the pontoon shiver.

The missing part of the Ming King’s totem on the walls was the divine eye on the forehead. This pontoon was to examine their knowledge of the Monster God Ming King’s Art. If their knowledge was insufficient, they will not be able to keep up with the rapid changes of the totem carvings on the pontoon would only be disintegrated by the totem carvings on the pontoon!

“Actually, it is fine to make a tiny mistake.”

Yu Xuanji said as he looked at King Teng withstanding the power of the totem carvings as King Teng walked past the pontoon. and he said again, “The missing part in the divine eye totem is causing the changes of the totem carvings to slow down, thus, making it difficult to clearly understand the beginning chapters. Fortunately, only a minor part of the totem is missing so making a tiny mistake wouldn’t cost you your life.”

Zhong Yue nodded and said, “Such knowledge, Brother Xuanji. However, there is still hope to recover the missing part.”

King Teng, who was almost arriving on the second stage, immediately stopped as he heard what Zhong Yue said and he quickly asked, “Please teach me, Brother Long.”

Zhong Yue replied seriously, “The totem missing on the wall is about the divine eye of Ming King but the totem carvings about the divine eye are all over the pontoon. If strong enough, you could stand at where King Teng suffered his injuries back then. Stand there and withstand the totem carvings on the pontoon and elucidate the totem of Ming King’s divine eye through it.”

“This is indeed one of the ways but it is way too dangerous. Learning through withstanding the attack is too dangerous even for me and even the most optimistic of success rates is far from what many are willing to chance. When I stood there just now, my brain was almost pierced by the totem carvings!”

King Teng thought of it for awhile and he shook his head while saying, “I had my own unique encounter and the divine eye I got from that encounter is not any weaker than Ming King’s divine eye. I might as well take a more secure way instead of risking my life. It would only be my forehead that suffers injuries anyway if I fail to acquire Ming King’s divine eye.”

The other Qi Practitioners nodded while Yu Xuanji said diffidently, “Brother Long Yue, are you sure that we could acquire the totem carvings of Ming King’s divine eye through such a method?”

Zhong Yue nodded and said, “Yes, but it is just as King Teng said, that way is extremely dangerous.”

Yu Xuanji gritted his teeth and replied, “I didn’t have the luxury of such fortuitous encounters as King Teng had and the divine eyes I used in place of the divine eye totem in the Monster God Ming King’s Art were the Fish Dragons’ Eyes, which are naturally inferior. I’m afraid that I might not be able to go past the other pontoons even after I get past this one. I’m afraid I can only risk my life for this to have a chance!”

Zhong Yue turned around and looked while he thought, Maybe Yu Xuanji might be the one who actually obtain the heritage of Monster God Ming King whereas the special encounter of King Teng and his divine eyes were complete rubbish as the monster’s Saint City Lord is a very strong guy and how could he not have his own divine eye heritage? Too bad for the Saint City Lord as threats have already emerged as he got to the level he is in now, which also suggests that this path has reached a dead end!

Zhong Yue continued to walk forward and he took the chance to strengthen himself with the totem carvings on the pontoon. When he got to the position where King Teng suffered his injuries, Zhong Yue’s forehead shook as the totem carvings of Ming King’s divine eye and the Sui Sovereign heavenly eye clashed together. The two different types of totem carvings were ravaging Zhong Yue’s forehead as it served as the battleground for their clash.

Blood started trickling out of his forehead and the totem of the Sui Sovereign Heavenly Eye emerged again, resisting the totem carvings of Ming King divine eye. The two eyes continued to collide with one another!

At the same time, King Teng had arrived at the second stage and was shocked when he turned to see the scene. He thought, So he has a supreme divine eye heritage. He is trying to refine his own divine eye heritage by clashing with the Ming King divine eye in order to cultivate his own divine eye into its highest level!

As soon as he realized Zhong Yue’s intention, the same thought immediately crossed his mind. However, he did not act on it as his pride would not allow him to do so.

Yu Xuanji also walked forward and he sat beside Zhong Yue with his legs crossed and the Fish Dragons’ eye on his forehead immediately opened up. He then resumed visualizing to resist the power of Ming King’s divine eye totem carvings in order to acquire the Ming King’s divine eye.

Behind them, Hu Qimei also started walking towards them and along with two more Qi Practitioners, Kong Ban followed behind her shortly after she walked forward. The few Qi Practitioners then sat down, attempting to acquire the missing part of the Monster God Ming King’s Art.

After a few moments, a Qi Practitioner shouted and his head exploded! As he died, his body turned into a naked skeleton before it plummeted into the abyss.

Kong Ban, Hu Qimei and the others trembled at the sight and when they felt that they could not persist anymore, they got up and left quickly as they no longer had the resolve to stay.

Yu Xuanji, however, remained unmoving and persevered to acquire the missing part of totem of the Ming King divine eye. But he could not resist any longer. He then quickly flew up and rushed towards the second stage, leaving only Zhong Yue behind.

He then touched his forehead and he could feel that there was a hole on his forehead, which almost exposed his brain. He had a shock and he thought, Luckily I managed to leave in time or I would have been killed already! This method is impossible as one’s head might have exploded before the person could even acquire it! Huh? Brother Long Yue is still there?

On the second stage, King Teng and the others were stunned when they saw Zhong Yue did not even move an inch as he remained seated firmly where he was. From their point of view, they saw the divine eye on Zhong Yue’s forehead undergoing a continuous cycle of destruction and reformation while he put up a decent fight against the totem carvings of Ming King’s divine eye. In a short period of time, the divine eye on his forehead had shattered and reformed more than two hundred times already!

Such top graded divine eye heritage, could it be the heritage of the dragons?

If it was another Qi Practitioner, his head would have already been pierced through long ago but Zhong Yue managed to resist the totem carvings of Ming King’s divine eye. Although the skin around his forehead had long since been disintegrated, his skull was still in perfect condition.

However, even with that, Zhong Yue could felt that the bones around his forehead were getting thinner and thinner and his head might be pierced through by the Ming King’s divine eye totem carvings at any time!

“Very good, Brat Yue. Looks like you are ready to condense the bloodline of Fuxi and achieve in producing your very first drop of celestial blood, stimulating the divine third eye!”

Xin Huo said happily, “Take advantage of this Ming King divine eye totem carvings to open your third eye. By absorbing the power among the totem carvings, you will definitely be able to cultivate out your divine third eye!”

Zhong Yue closed his eyes and focused on condensing the thin Fuxi bloodline in his body, turning it into a bloody pearl before moving it towards his forehead.

At the same time, Ming King’s divine eye totem carvings flew towards him and opened up a crack on Zhong Yue’s skull and the Fuxi celestial blood drop seeped into the crack!

Boom————

The Ming King divine eye totem carvings slashed towards his forehead while emitting tremendous energy but all of a sudden, the totem carvings seemed to be completely robbed of their previous indomitable power as they disappeared into Zhong Yue’s forehead!

Then, Zhong Yue’s forehead slowly swelled up as the eye structure of the third Fuxi divine eye started to form on his forehead after absorbing the power from the Ming King divine eye totem carvings!

After quite a while, Zhong Yue got up and the Ming King divine eye totem carvings vanished completely from the pontoon. This was because the Ming King divine eye totem carvings were absorbed completely in its entirety by his divine third eye, leaving not a single trace behind!

Zhong Yue then started walking towards the second stage as he thought, From now on, no one will be able to acquire the Ming King divine eye for I have now completely destroyed its totem carvings from the pontoon! I guess the monsters’ saint city lord is fated to live with the threat in his cultivation for all of eternity.
