Seeing Xie Limo’s silence, Yun Bixue continued, “You don’t have to be so anxious. If you feel that way, you’ll make me nervous too.”
Xie Limo could only let his expression soften a little before caressing her head.
Yun Bixue grabbed his hand and kissed it. “Okay, cheer up. It’s rare for you to get a rest day, so you should spend it happily.”

She looked at the pouring rain outside and the company of her significant other beside her. It was a satisfying day of resting, eating, and chatting.

Xie Limo pinched Yun Bixue’s nose. “She is a princess who has made preparations for every possibility. She would naturally have people guarding her. If she was really in trouble, there would be rescue boats and planes ready for her.”
Yun Bixue sighed as she praised, “A princess’s treatment sure is nice!”
Xie Limo looked at Yun Bixue’s expression, and his own expression froze. “Xue, you’re my queen. Whatever you want, I will fulfill it for you.”
“Okay, okay. I know you can do it. I’m not being jealous, I was just lamenting a little. Having you by my side is more important than anything else.”

For the whole day, besides taking a nap, the rest of the time was spent talking to Xie Limo. Sometimes, Yun Bixue would lay down with her eyes curved into crescents as Xie Limo told stories.
Even if they were childish stories, Yun Bixue loved listening to them. She loved to listen to that clear, crisp and moving voice of his.
It was so intoxicating that she wanted to keep listening to it.
Xie Limo told the stories without a trace of boredom. Sometimes, he even got the feeling that he was coaxing a huge baby.
A day passed simply and peacefully in that manner.
When it was almost time for dinner, Xie Limo received a call. “Deputy Xie, something happened to Her Highness, and she was sent to the hospital. She says that she wishes to see you.”
Xie Limo’s expression stiffened, and he frowned. “The doctors would take care of her. I’m on leave right now.”
“But Deputy Xie, the person who the princess wishes to see is you.”
Xie Limo’s expression turned icy as he said in a cold tone, “If it’s anything about the state affairs, she can talk to you about it, and you can tell me tomorrow when I go to work. If it’s anything personal, I can’t leave. My wife is unwell, so I need to take care of her.”
