After Yun Bilu entered, the workers took the entrance tickets from them and guided them to their resting room.
Each competitor had their own resting room, which overlooked the hall below. Inside the resting room was her outfit for the competition with her number tag on it.
“Huang Yize, I’m number 83! When did they decide the number?”
“Your master came yesterday to help you draw your number.”
“Oh, is that so!” Yun Bilu was solely focused on training, so she did not bother much with competition matters. Things like registration or drawing of numbers were completed for her by her master.
After changing into the competition outfit, Yun Bilu felt lighter, and she jumped around a little to warm up.
She then walked out to the viewing platform to look at the competition. The viewing platform was wide, and there were seats prepared for the hundreds of martial arts experts in the competition.
As time passed, more people entered, and they all went to sit at their respective seats.
Yun Bilu looked around, feeling bored. She talked with Huang Yize from time to time.
Huang Yize chatted with her as well. He knew that she would be nervous since it was her first competition, so if he talked to her, it might help calm her nerves.
Around eight in the morning, sounds of drums resounded on the stage, and music started playing. The emcee began the welcoming speech as well.
Yun Bilu, who was bored, mumbled softly, “Talking in circles… How boring. Can’t they just keep it simple.”
Just when those words slipped out from Yun Bilu, the emcee said, “Let’s invite the Chief Minister!”
Yun Bilu gaped visibly, and she gripped onto Huang Yize’s elbow tightly. “Did you hear that? It’s him! The Chief Minister!” Although Yun Bilu’s voice was soft, it couldn’t hide the excitement within it.
The whole venue erupted in cheers because of that announcement as well. Everyone was excited, and many of them stood up to cheer. After all, he was the legendary chief minister of Country M, and everyone was looking forward to seeing him.
Looking at his elbow, which was gripped tightly, Huang Yize’s expression darkened, and he knocked Yun Bilu on her head. “Are you here to compete or to chase after idols?”
That one sentence caused Yun Bilu to sit down quietly.
When the rumored chief minister appeared, silence enveloped the entire venue…
He was too beautiful, like a man who walked out of portraits, like a god who was left behind in a dark misty rain, like a lone standing lotus in a pond, elegant to the root and yet emitting an unspeakable gentleness.
He was clad in an elegantly-colored sports attire, looking as if he walked down from the clouds, so beautiful that you would neglect everything else. He was charming, eye-catching, and unique amongst others.
A smile from such a beautiful and elegant man was enough to steal the hearts and souls of people.
Especially that one smile of his that made him look even more handsome than ever.
Yun Bilu gaped visibly. She felt that this man would rile the crowd with his presence. It was no wonder why he did not appear frequently on the media.
Yun Bilu noticed that since the chief minister’s appearance, reporters and everyone else were prohibited from taking photographs, even those on cell phones.
Yun Bilu did not catch whatever he said, simply mesmerized in his beauty.
The venue erupted in voracious applause and cheers.
“Attracted?”
Yun Bilu shook her head. “I’m not. No matter how good looking he is, he’s not as good as you. The aura is different, and I was just wondering if it would be troublesome when he went out, and if there were a lot of girls chasing after him?”
