It was 11:30 pm. Fang Qingyang was sleeping pretty soundly, when he vaguely heard the sound of knocking. He turned over and continued sleeping.
Fang Qingyang never locked the bedroom door inside the house. With a creak, the door of the guestroom was pushed open slightly.
Footsteps gradually approached the bed, and a pair of strange, cold and greedy eyes stared fixedly at the man on the bed.
”Suck his blood! I want to suck his blood dry!”
Standing in front of the bed was an old, shriveled-looking woman who looked like she was 70 or 80 years old. Her face was white and covered in wrinkles, and her skin looked like old tree bark. What was even more ghastly were the large red blotches all over her ugly and disgusting face. She looked very ugly.
Seeing that the woman was unmoved, the strange and malevolent blotchy, half-peeling face on the back of her head gloated and giggled creepily. Its sharp voice was very unpleasant. “If you don’t suck his blood, your beautiful face will be exactly the same as mine in the future, as ugly as can be. Good! Very good!”
Sharp, gloating laughter rang out again, and the woman suddenly turned around. There happened to be a mirror on the table across from her. Under the light from outside, it clearly reflected her ugly face which could scare a malicious spirit to death. Shen Rongyin’s face suddenly twisted malevolently, and her eyes gradually turned red. She lost her senses and directly flipped the mirror over.
The mirror crashed to the floor and shattered, waking Fang Qingyang up.
Fang Qingyang was a soldier, after all, and still had sharp enough senses. He immediately opened his eyes. “Who is it?”
Shen Rongyin drew the curtains tightly before he could see her. It was so dark in the guestroom that Fang Qingyang couldn’t see her clearly. Seeing him prop himself up and reach out for the light, Shen Rongyin suddenly said softly, “Qingyang, it’s me, Rongyin! Can you not turn on the light? I’m shy!”
When Fang Qingyang suddenly heard Rongyin’s voice, he paused and the vigilance in his eyes was immediately replaced with excitement and delight. Had Rongyin come to his room so late to see him? She couldn’t bear to be apart from him?
Fang Qingyang couldn’t help but sound excited as he spoke. “Rongyin, why did you come here?”
Shen Rongyin said shyly, “Qingyang, I couldn’t sleep, so I wanted to come and see you!”
Hearing Shen Rongyin’s tacit consent, Fang Qingyang’s eyes grew more and more excited and delighted.
Shen Rongyin continued, “Qingyang, don’t turn on the light. Otherwise, I won’t be able to face you tomorrow!”
Fang Qinyang thought of Rong Yin’s shy appearance and felt smug and happy. He hurriedly replied, “Okay, I won’t turn on the light! Rongyin, come and sit next to me!”
Shen Rongyin walked to the bed. As soon as she sat down, Fang Qingyang suddenly hugged her in his arms. His heart moved when he thought of Shen Rongyin’s beautiful face.
Fang Qingyang was about to kiss her, when he suddenly touched Shen Rongyin’s rough hand, and he asked bewilderedly, “Rongyin, why is your hand so rough?”
Shen Rongyin pulled her hand away without batting an eyelid. She feigned indignance and said coyly, “Qingyang, you don’t like me?”
