1526 Going to Director Wang’s Film Set
When she woke up the next day, Chi Shuyan thought that the calls from last night had been a dream. However, when she picked up her phone and scrolled through the call history, she found that there were indeed many calls from an unfamiliar number.
Chi Shuyan’s heart jumped as she stared fixedly at the numerous missed calls. Fortunately, she had turned off her phone last night, or she could forget about sleeping well.

Director Wang’s solicitous and familiar voice quickly rang out. “Master, Master Chi, it’s me, it’s Wang Zhen. Master, I don’t know if you’re free today, but I’ve already confirmed the filming location. Master, can you come and help me take a look at the feng shui?”
After what happened in Dashan Village, Director Wang was now once bitten, twice shy. To be honest, Ruan Shenglin, Song Chu, Yan Zhengming and Song Yanru had gone to see a psychologist. They also bought a lot of life-saving talismans from the Master’s shop. They weren’t as scared as they had been in Dashan Village before, as if they were facing a great enemy.
The Master had said before that the odds of running into a ghost were fairly low. They had just relaxed, when they found out a few days later that a horror movie was being filmed next door.
This discovery ignited the fear in the hearts of Director Wang and the others.
If it weren’t for the huge losses he would incur, Director Wang would have switched to another filming location. As for the horror movie, it was simply too scary and dangerous, especially after what Director Wang, Ruan Shenglin and the others had experienced in Dashan Village. They knew that there really were ghosts in this world, so every time they heard someone talk about the horror movie being filmed next door, their hearts pounded and their legs turned to jelly.
Fortunately, Director Wang had been quick to invite the Master over to take a look at the feng shui on set. Thinking of how they would be able to see Master Chi in the afternoon, Ruan Shenglin and the others were both very expectant and nervous.
After buying a lot of good stuff from the Master’s shop, everyone once again firmly believed that she was a true expert.
The morning was filled with scenes of the main leads, Ruan Shenglin and Song Yanru, and the filming went smoothly. Director Wang stopped filming at 11am, and got ready to personally receive the Master.
The new assistant director and producer on the side were simply speechless and helpless at Director Wang inviting a Master over today and stopping work early for it.
The producer, who was surnamed Fei, came over and tried to communicate with Director Wang, telling him to film a little longer and save some money. Director Wang waved his hand and chased him away. “Go, go, go… I still have a serious matter to attend to later.”
Producer Fei could guess what this ‘serious matter’ was. The corners of his mouth twitched fiercely as he advised earnestly, “Director Wang, the crew filming the horror movie next door didn’t invite anyone to look at feng shui – why do we have to? Isn’t that a waste of money?”
Producer Fei was quite rich but very stingy. He couldn’t wait for Director Wang to wrap up filming as soon as possible every day. Thinking of how Director Wang would be spending a lot of money on checking the feng shui, Producer Fei’s heart ached.
Director Wang simply ignored Producer Fei in front of him. Even if he didn’t have the money to film, he had to have the money to hire the Master to look at the feng shui, okay? Running into evil was really too scary!
Before the Master checked the feng shui, he couldn’t film properly, and constantly felt on edge.
Director Wang ignored Producer Fei. There wasn’t any restaurant nearby, so he simply called his assistant to find someone to help cook a dozen good dishes on set. When Chi Shuyan arrived, the dishes were almost done. Director Wang, Ruan Shenglin and the others personally went to the entrance of the set to welcome her – those who didn’t know better would think that they were welcoming some big shot.
Those who didn’t know better at first really thought that some big shot or investor had come to their set. Not long after, they saw Director Wang, Film Emperor Ruan, Film Empress Song and the managers flock around a young lady. Many of the newbies’ jaws dropped in shock and disbelief.
Seeing Director Wang, Film Emperor Ruan, Film Empress Song and the managers, who were each more enthusiastic and solicitous than the last, take the initiative to talk to the young lady in the middle, many of the newbies in the film crew were even more flabbergasted. When Producer Fei and the new assistant director saw this scene, their eyes almost popped out!
How come they didn’t know that Director Wang and the others had such good dispositions?
Director Wang, Ruan Shenglin, Song Yanru, Yang Kun and Yan Zhengming didn’t care what the rest of the crew thought as they eagerly invited Master Chi into the tent for lunch.
Chi Shuyan was used to getting down to business first, so she said, “I’m not hungry. Why don’t I take a look at the feng shui on set for Director Wang first?”
Director Wang couldn’t wait for Master Chi to immediately help take a look at the feng shui. He relaxed, but still said, “Master, are you hungry? Why don’t you eat first? There’s no hurry to take a look at the feng shui!”
Ruan Shenglin, Yang Kun, Yang Zhengming and the others immediately echoed Director Wang. Chi Shuyan didn’t say anything, but simply asked Director Wang to show her around.
