Xia Wanyuan had never known what to say to Xuan Sheng.
“Why are you apologizing to me?” Xuan Sheng smiled. “You’re not the one who forced me to like you. You don’t owe me. On the contrary, you brought me many things.”
Perhaps in the eyes of outsiders, Xuan Sheng liking Xia Wanyuan was a fruitless love.

Xuan Sheng nodded. “Not bad. I can eat and drink.”
“Where’s Lu Li?” Back then, when Lu Li defected, she seemed to have disappeared from this world and never appeared again.
Speaking of Lu Li, Xuan Sheng’s eyes flickered.
Xia Wanyuan sensed the change in Xuan Sheng’s expression and was a little puzzled. “You saw her again?”
Xuan Sheng smiled bitterly. “No, I haven’t seen her again.”
“Okay.”

After the two of them bade each other farewell, Xia Wanyuan nodded at Xuan Sheng and walked towards Jun Shiling on the bridge.
Xuan Sheng stood at the entrance of the street and watched Xia Wanyuan leave from afar. Only when she and Jun Shiling completely disappeared from his sight did Xuan Sheng turn around and walk back.
He had wasted some time chatting with Xia Wanyuan. In addition, he had been thinking about something on the way back, causing Xuan Sheng to arrive at the hotel two hours later than usual.
At the entrance of the hotel, a slender woman with a mask was looking into the distance anxiously. When she saw Xuan Sheng, the woman seemed to have finally relaxed.

Xuan Sheng’s eyes flickered. “Are you very concerned about her?”
“I used to like her television drama very much. I heard that she disappeared for a long time. If you mind me asking, you don’t have to answer my question.”
“No.” Xuan Sheng smiled. “She’s quite good now. Jun Shiling just proposed to her. She’s very happy.”
“That’s good.” The woman lowered her head to hide the emotions in her eyes. “That’s good.”
Looking at the woman’s actions, Xuan Sheng narrowed his eyes. “Let’s go in. You can’t stand the wind too much, and you should be hungry.”
“Okay.” The woman nodded. Although her face was covered by a veil, one could feel that the way she looked at Xuan Sheng was extremely gentle and restrained.
