“Oh.” The host smiled and shook his head. He then turned around and asked the audience, “Do you guys think someone like him is considered a wife slave?”
The audience started cheering, “Yes!”
The host then asked Yun Shishi, “Shishi.”
“Uh huh.”
“Is it true what Chairman Mu just said? Are you basically in charge of everything at home now?”
Yun Shishi said reservedly, “Basically, I’ll make the decisions for the small matters and he’ll make the decisions for the big ones.”
Mu Yazhe quietly added, “It seems that there are no big matters in our household.”
Yun Shishi immediately laughed when she heard that.
The emcee continued to ask, “So then, it is true that in your family, you have a bigger say in things?”
“A little more, just a little. In our family, the one with the biggest say has got to be the little princess!”
“The little princess!”
The host put on an exaggerated reaction and widened his eyes in shock, exclaiming, “Oh my, I’ve haven’t heard about this. When did you have a daughter?”
“Our daughter is already seven months old!”
“Seven months! Goodness, she’s going to turn one year old soon! However, I think that Shishi is protecting her daughter, so she never exposes her daughter to the cameras. It’s said that once a woman becomes a mother, she will have the charm that only a mother has! I think our Shishi is different from before.”
Yun Shishi smiled and asked. “What’s the difference?”
“Motherly tenderness.”
She blinked and retorted, “I lacked motherly tenderness before?”
The audience laughed knowingly. Yun Shishi and the host were interacting with each other tacitly.
The host paused for a moment before refocusing on Mu Yazhe. “Now, it’s Chairman Mu’s turn to take the test!”
Mu Yazhe was surprised to hear this. He raised an eyebrow and asked, “What test?”
The host started to act mysterious as he pulled the man aside. He lowered her voice and asked, “Ever since the little princess’ arrival, who has got a higher status in Chairman Mu’s heart? Madam, or your daughter!”
Mu Yazhe replied without hesitation, “Madam, I guess.”
When the host heard this, he burst out laughing and didn’t seem to believe it.
He turned around and asked her, “Shishi, are you satisfied with his answer?”
“I don’t believe him.” Yun Shishi sniggered. “That answer doesn’t count.”
The host’s interest was piqued and he raised his eyebrows. “Oh? There’s something fishy going on.”
Yun Shishi held up the microphone and answered, “At home, he dotes on our daughter more.”
“What about the two young masters?”
“He favors our daughter more, so in his heart, our daughter must have a higher status.”
Mu Yazhe gave a helpless smile as he wiped his lips with his fingertips. He did not know how best to react to this.
The crowd was in an uproar.
Most men who came from wealthy families favored boys over girls. After all, for wealthy families, sons could carry on the family line, and daughters were not worth much.
Surprisingly, he favored his daughter more.
The host smiled and said, “Everyone says that a daughter is a father’s lover in his previous life.!”
Yun Shishi gave a shy smile, however, Mu Yazhe continued, “In my heart, my wife is still the most important. All the happiness I have is because of her. I’m very lucky to have her in my life. She came into my life at the perfect time.”
Yun Shishi was slightly taken aback. She did not expect that the normally reserved man would make such a tender confession before so many people.
