No matter how much Shangguan Rouxue pleaded or acted pitifully during the process, Yang Muyan kept slapping her face.
After a while the slapping stopped. Shangguan Rouxue drew in a breath and thought that the nightmare had hopefully ended. What she didn’t realize was that this was just the beginning.
Yang Muyan brought out a sharp blade and started slashing it across her face.
The blood gushed out and the wounds which she was making would probably challenge the most excellent plastic surgeon in the world, also.
Shangguan Rouxue struggled hard. But it didn’t help. Yang Muyan worked even harder on her.
At the beginning, Shangguan Rouxue addressed her as cousin. But later she started to call her by the name in a fierce and cold voice.
“Yang Muyan, you are a mad woman. Why are you ruining my face? Is it because you are so ugly yourself? Everyone in your Family Yang deserves more than death.”
Yang Muyan’s hands had swelled up after slapping Shangguan Rouxue for so long.
But she didn’t care about her bloated hands. Instead, she glared at Shangguan Rouxue’s ruined face and said hoarsely, “Everyone in Family Yang has died. But why did they die? You and your mother are the cause. Do you think that your family deserves anything less than death? Hahaha, let me tell you, your father Shangguan Zheng was killed by my men. Didn’t you always think that Shangguan Ning was the one responsible?”
Shangguan Rouxue had thought that Shangguan Ning killed Shangguan Zheng because one of the two men whom Yang Muyan sent to protect Yang Wenshu died at Shangguan’s residence whilst the escapee claimed that Shangguan Ning forced Yang Wenshu to die and kill Shangguan Zheng.
“Yang Wenshu caused the death of Family Yang by making use of us to deal with Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning. But she was having a good time abroad. That was why I did Family Jing a favor, otherwise they would not have found her so easily and brought her back.”
Yang Wenshu’s hoarse voice echoed in the villa, revealing many things that Shangguan Rouxue had no idea about. She got increasingly irritated and hated this woman more and more in her heart.
“Shangguan Ning also thought that she forced your goddamned mother. Haha, how ridiculous! It had been I who forced her to die. I had bought your servants and they tortured Yang Wenshu for three days before she had no choice but to kill herself. All Shangguan Ning did was – provide a knife!”
“Family Yang is ruined and she suffered so little before she died. How lucky for her! Had Shangguan Ning not jumped in, I would have made her suffer more. Well, it doesn’t matter now. You are still alive, aren’t you?”
Blood kept trickling down Shangguan Rouxue’s face. Her body felt shattered and she felt pain with every breath she took.
She spat out a mouthful of blood and stared at her in hatred. “You can kill me if you dare to, Yang Muyuan, else I will kill you if you don’t kill me today.”
Yang Muyan smiled at her. “You want to die? Sorry, I will absolutely not allow you to die! Who else should I torture and extract revenge from, for the grudge I have had for the past many years?”
“What do you mean?”
“What I mean is that you poisoned me because of which I got stinky pustules on my face for years. I had no face to meet anyone!”
Shangguan Rouxue was in so much pain that she almost lost consciousness. But she still objected. “I have nothing to do with it. You got sick and you couldn’t be cured. I have never drugged you.”
Yang Muyuan stomped hard upon Shangguan Rouxue’s tender white fingers and then crushed them against the hard floor until her fingers were bloody. Only then did she let out a sigh of comfort.
“For seventeen years, you bitch, for seventeen years you have made me live in hell. I haven’t seen a normal version of myself since I was 13 years old. Had Family Yang not been ruined and I was forced to escape, I would not have recovered.”
Yang Muyan caressed her smooth skin softly. After she left Family Yang, the pustules on her face disappeared gradually. She soon discovered that she was getting more and more beautiful.
That was the only thing that cheered her after Family Yang was destroyed.
She had received a letter the day before which carried a secret that shocked and angered her. She had been wearing a terrible face for seventeen years not because she was physically sick or suffering from endocrine dyscrasia but because she had been drugged for years.
Nothing else was explained in the letter except for these lines of words. But Yang Muyan believed those words immediately.
She was a smart woman and possessed a high IQ.
It didn’t matter who wrote her the letter. What mattered was that Shangguan Rouxue and Yang Wenshu were the ones that drugged her.
“Shangguan Rouxue, you are stupid enough to try and fight against me. From today on, you will live with a ruined face. You will lose everything and live worse than a dog. As for Family Xie, if they try to defend you, hehe, they will soon lose their economic resources and become beggars in no time.”
Yang Muyuan noticed that Shangguan Rouxue was staring back at her with naked hatred. But she didn’t care about it. She sneered and said, “You want to take revenge? Come on then. Thanks to you I am the only one left in Family Yang. I fear nothing! I am an outlaw and am only living to take revenge.”
The first thing that greeted Ji Bo’s eyes the moment he came home was – bloodbath. Shangguan Rouxue was lying on the ground covered in blood whilst Yang Muyan was laughing wildly. She held a blood stained knife in her hands.
Ji Bo had caused many people to die before, but he never did the deed himself. He hadn’t even seen so much blood ever. He had been educated traditionally and had a normal perspective towards the world. He was not extreme and most of the time, he was a gentleman except when he came face-to-face with Jing Yichen.
He was psychologically strong and used devious methods and conspiracies. But he never tortured people for fun and was not mentally distorted like Yang Muyan.
So the moment he entered the room and saw the scene, Ji Bo’s face paled and he vomited immediately.
