Gu Chaoyan suspected that something must have gone wrong. Instead of saying anything more, she opened the door, let Sword One in and then asked. “What is it? Where have you been?”
She had been a bit confused by what happened just now. So she had not noticed that Sword One had been missing all this while.
After spending so much time with Gu Chaoyan, Sword One understood what she was like. She was an easy-going lady who did not pay much attention to the class difference. So Sword One poured herself a cup of tea first before getting Gu Chaoyan one too. That was why I returned to the room instead.”

Gu Chaoyan recognized the voice, so she got up and was about to open the door, when Sword One stopped her. Too many strange things had happened for Sword One to drop her caution. She had to do anything to keep her miss from being hurt.
She cautiously opened the door.
It was the teacher who was standing at the doorstep with a smile. “Lady Chaoyan, could I bother you with some questions?”
“About Liu Hanxiang or the drugged girl?” Gu Chaoyan asked calmly.
