“I can have a rest whenever I can, yet Lord Yan’s child might be destroyed by now. I am not feeling sleepy at all. Let’s head to Lord Yan’s Mansion so that we might have the slightest chance of turning the table,” Gu Chaoyan said, looking worried.
Zhou Huaijin nodded with a very serious look between his eyebrows.
He had tried to persuade his Elder Brother not to bring his wife back to the capital, but his Elder Brother insisted. Without anything else he could do, he ordered his hidden guard to sneak into the accompaniment and keep her safe. Gu Chaoyan nodded and walked straight into the room, without exchanging a word with him.
Lord Yan, who did not grow up in the capital, was very messy in dealing with the emergency. If not for Huaijin, who had offered help, he might not have survived to this day.
Li Qing was a very excellent doctor, but he was someone who only cured external injuries. He was even worse than a midwife when it came to childbirth.
