He would have understood all of this if he could think more carefully.
During the past few days when Lady Chaoyan was at Li Village, she never visited him and had been spending all of her time at Prime Minister Chu’s place and Prime Minister Chu was in charge of her food and accomodation.

Gu Chaoyan’s wagon had left Li Village and was heading directly to the capital.
She believed what Shanhu said to her, and did not dwell on what he had been reacting to.
She had no idea what was happening at Shanhu’s home.
The wagon ran faster on the way back, since there was no patient in it, but it still took around two hours before the wagon touched the land of the capital.
Bored, Sword One asked curiously, “Elder Miss, are you going to hire Shanhu as one of your staff? He seems like a nice guy. At least, he saved the whole village. He seems quite talented.”
