Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love Chapter 84

Chapter 84 - A Successful Negotiation

Beixiao’s dad put down his cup on the table and looked at Beixiao, who was sitting on the black sofa, as he said seriously, “I wanted to talk to you about going to Hunter School! Beixiao, this isn’t a joke!”

Hunter School was Planet X’s well-known Special Operations training center, with an acceptance rate of 20%. Death was a common sight, but it was the hall of fame that all the world’s top Special Operations officers wanted to join. Needless to say, it was hell in its truest form.

“I am not joking around!” Beixiao replied as he stood up and headed towards the desk.

He knew his son well. The men of the Lu family would never give in.

Lu Zhen Sheng stopped persuading his son. He had confidence in Beixiao, and he believed that the training would prepare him well for what would come.

He stood up and said solemnly, “Beixiao, I wish you success in advance! Take some time to learn Planet X’s language before going; it is going to be hard if you can’t speak their language!”

Lu Beixiao did not say anything about this matter; instead, he just replied with a salute.

“Dad, you should start caring about the marriages of the old single senior commanders,” the atmosphere between these two relaxed again, and Beixiao did not forget to “care” about Lao Cai.

“Are you talking about Squadron Cai? We haven’t had match-making events for a while… I will get the team to arrange something!” Beixiao’s dad replied.

Beixiao nodded and walked out of the office. He found it funny and could not wait to see the reserved Lao Cai be in a relationship. Then, he jumped into his car and headed off.

The parties were sitting on each side of the meeting table in a meeting room that could oversee the whole of N Town.

Du Jun, who was sitting in the chief place, was dressed fashionably. His hair was combed to the back, and was wearing his grey suit. He looked exactly like a chairperson but pretended to be unwell so that Ye Qiao could speak on this behalf.

“Mr. Jiang, 30% share is the lowest we can go. We really can’t make any further concessions!” After the bargain just now, Jiang Hengshan reduced their share percentage to 20%, but Ye Qiao asked for 35%, and he did not agree. They were trying to increase their shares to 30%.

“25%!” Jiang Hengshan counter-offered. This little girl was truly too difficult to deal with.

He got someone to look into her background over the past two days and realized that she was still a high school student!

“25%. It’s my final offer!” Jiang Hengshan pulled his tie as he said again. This was the first time he lost in a negotiation!

Ye Qiao tried to hide her joy. In fact, 25% was 5% higher than she originally expected. Nevertheless, she still acted like it was her loss. “Mr. Du, what’s your thought?”

“I disagree! I don’t like the number 25!” Ye Qiao told Du Jun that he could only nod or shake his head, but Du Jun replied loudly this time.

Ye Qiao was speechless.

Jiang Hengshan shrugged and looked at him. “Mr. Du, how much do you think would be appropriate?”

Ye Qiao quickly kicked Du Jun’s foot as she was worried that this idiot would offer a lower percentage!

“I would like twenty… six! It sounds better!” Du Jun said. Ye Qiao’s heart was already in her throat. Fortunately, he was not that stupid to lower the offer.

“Mr. Jiang, we all want to start our business on a good note; it would be great if you could offer us 1% more!” Ye Qiao replied with a smile.

Jiang Hengshan, who was still gloomy, could not help but smile. “I surrender! It feels like we are bargaining in a market!”

Ye Qiao’s heart tightened; did he want to reject the offer?

“It’s my first time having to actually negotiate! And with a little girl, nonetheless!” Jiang Hengshan extended his arm to Ye Qiao as he stood up. Ye Qiao immediately stood up too.

Mr. Jiang said happily, “I hope we will work well together!”

So, 26% of the share was in their pocket!

Ye Qiao quickly came back to her senses and bowed 90 degrees. “Mr. Jiang, I hope we will work well together too!”

Wrongly imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, Ye Qiao was freed from the iron gates that locked her away for seven years with nowhere to go, no one to see, and nothing to move on to following the passing of her husband, who she had never appreciated. The man was part of the Special Forces and had been killed during a mission.

She thought she would never cry again after being hardened by the hard knocks of prison life, but there she was, weeping for the man named Lu Beixiao. He had spent his entire life loving her, truly and deeply, but she had been misled by her own s*upidity and lack of trust.

On her first day out of prison, she found herself in an accident and learned that it was actually a homicide, presumably by the same people that had killed her husband. “Boss, there’s nothing to worry about. She is going to die for sure,” the stranger’s voice rang in her ears.

Even though she was going to die, all she could think of was that she wanted to see her husband again in her next life and find her way back in love.

She must.

All of sudden, Ye Qiao awakened to her life twenty years ago! It seemed that she had been given another chance to right the wrongs of the past, but would she be able to overcome the obstacles that had held her back in her past life? Who was the man responsible for her death, and would he prevent her from doing so?
