Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love Chapter 51

Chapter 51

“I will remember what you said today. You’d better kiss me back next time we see each other!”

“Sure, I’ll be sure to get back what I deserve!”

Certainly, the memories were still vivid. Therefore, she went ahead and kissed him, as promised.

In the middle of nowhere, there was a motorbike with its headlights on, bright enough for the man to see her face, so radiant and enchanting.

He could not get his eyes off her, so he stared at her fixedly – the girl who had given him happiness. With a grasp, he took her left hand in his and carefully observed the wound. “Didn’t you apply any medicine?” The scar was about the size of a pea, but it was still an eyesore.

“No.”

“How neglectful! All of my words seem to have flowed over you!” He let go of her hand and looked at her with a solemn expression.

Ye Qiao was a little perplexed by his exclamation. “I did it on purpose. I needed the scar to make you morally bound to take care of me!” She fawned over him with honeyed words while he was busy tidying up his messy outfit.

Her honey-sweet words had caught him by surprise. Lu Beixiao was at wit’s end, so he gave her a cold stare.

“You said it yourself. You’ll marry me if I have a scar. Have you forgotten about it?” Ye Qiao hastily added.

On her deathbed, she finally realized how much he actually loved her. Their relationship in the past used to be absolutely irreconcilable. Shen Xichuan was the very reason for all of their misunderstandings, which was something that Lu Beixiao could not get over. He loved her, but his love was never properly communicated. What she resented the most was his uncontrollable jealousy and disruptive behavior.

Also, they did not get to see each other very often, which made matters worse. Every time he came home, she had to be on her guard as though confronted by a formidable enemy. The only request that she had been insistently asking for in their marriage was for their divorce. Back then, it was not until his death that he finally confessed his love.

Meanwhile, Lu Beixiao walked towards the river to clean off the bloodstains on his body.

After a while, he came back with his face and arms covered with water. Concerned, Ye Qiao quickly took a handkerchief and started rubbing his face. “Xiao, are you hurt?”

“Not at all. I’d be impressed if they managed to hurt me. What a disappointing bunch of fools!” Lu Beixiao could not help but express his disdain.

“The one that my brother had a fuss with is merely one of the smaller leaders of the gangsters, not someone who’s impressively powerful. By the way, are you permitted to leave the base? Will you get into trouble for being involved in the fight?” Ye Qiao was deeply concerned for him and his teammates’ wellbeing. She did not want them to be affected by what happened just now.

As a sign of comfort, Lu Beixiao reached out his hand and started rubbing her hair, which was straight and silky soft to the feel. She was undeniably a born beauty. Everything about her was simply wonderful.

“I can assure you that there’s nothing or no one that I’m afraid of! Don’t worry; I have permission to leave, and so do my men. They were actually sent by our direct superior to help me out. As for the feud, I’m definitely going to sort it out!” He said with a spark of confidence.

It truly was his character, fearless, and unconventional. With that said, she could finally set her mind at ease.

He raised his arm and had a look at the watch. It was installed with a satellite navigation feature, so Lao Cai could easily track him down.

“It’s already ten! I have to be back by 12!” Lu Beixiao said peevishly.

She did not realize that he had to go back so soon, which came as a disappointment.

“I have one more hour, which is all yours. Where would you like to go, my little girlfriend?” Lu Beixiao said heartily while pinching her cheeks in an attempt to cheer her up.

“Little? Who’s younger now? I have the maturity of a 38-years-old woman, so you’re still a boy to me.”

Without a doubt, Lu Beixiao had opened up her heart with the glow of his enthusiasm. The gloom from their past no longer haunted her.

Ye Qiao told him about a place here, so they headed there. About 15 minutes later, two bowls of cold noodles and duck blood vermicelli were served, but Lu Beixiao was not happy with it. “Where’s the meat?”

Wrongly imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, Ye Qiao was freed from the iron gates that locked her away for seven years with nowhere to go, no one to see, and nothing to move on to following the passing of her husband, who she had never appreciated. The man was part of the Special Forces and had been killed during a mission.

She thought she would never cry again after being hardened by the hard knocks of prison life, but there she was, weeping for the man named Lu Beixiao. He had spent his entire life loving her, truly and deeply, but she had been misled by her own s*upidity and lack of trust.

On her first day out of prison, she found herself in an accident and learned that it was actually a homicide, presumably by the same people that had killed her husband. “Boss, there’s nothing to worry about. She is going to die for sure,” the stranger’s voice rang in her ears.

Even though she was going to die, all she could think of was that she wanted to see her husband again in her next life and find her way back in love.

She must.

All of sudden, Ye Qiao awakened to her life twenty years ago! It seemed that she had been given another chance to right the wrongs of the past, but would she be able to overcome the obstacles that had held her back in her past life? Who was the man responsible for her death, and would he prevent her from doing so?
