Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love Chapter 129

Chapter 129 - Training With High Fever

The Hunter School was situated in a tropical rainforest. And at altitudes above 1000m, the temperature falls below 0°C at night.

At 4 a.m. sharp, toxic gas woke the soldiers up again. After arriving at the gathering point, ice-cold water welcomed them.

Despite temperatures of below 0°C, they were only wearing a singlet and shorts while buckets and buckets of ice-cold water showered them from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.!

“Hey! It’s already the 7th day, and 010 is still here; you’re screwed!”

“He already has a high fever; there’s no way he would finish the training today!” 015 said proudly.

Lu Beixiao could hear the conversation clearly.

A bucket of ice water poured over his head as he stood unmoved. The colder the water, the hotter his skin became! He had a fever!

Damn it! It was his first time falling sick in the 20 over years of his life!

“010, 011, pair up and go carry logs!” Instructor Will instructed. The task was not as simple as carrying logs, however. They had to stuff ice cubes in their shirts while doing so!

He continued to give orders…

“Seems like he won’t even last until dawn!” 015 continued to tease Lu Beixiao. Carrying logs was not an easy task.

Every day, they trained from 4 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next day. It was already 12 a.m., and the training grounds were filled with smoke from firearms, just like a battlefield.

“Idiots, wake up and go explore the Devil’s road! I’m warning you all to quit now! The Devil’s road is the path to hell! With just a minor mistake, you’ll lose your lives!” Instructor Will blew the whistle and scared them.

After a moment of silence, Instructor Will blew the whistle again, and the first group started their journey.

The so-called ‘Devil’s Road’ was a long and narrow tunnel that was 1.8m tall. On both sides, there were high voltage grids. Besides that, there were bombs buried underground, and when the soldiers passed by, they had to dodge the sniper’s attacks!

Within two minutes, they could hear a scream. Someone was shot!

The medical team hurried in to bring the soldier away.

“Hey! Did you see that? It’s not too late to quit! You can’t do it!” 015 and a few other muscular soldiers teased Lu Beixiao.

“010, you should just give up. The person who was shot was a westerner; he is much stronger than you! And you’re having a fever!”

“For real, bro. We mean well! Don’t give up on your life!” After finishing his sentence, 023 snickered. They looked down on Asians from the bottom of their hearts!

Wearing a helmet and carrying a gun, Lu Beixiao walked towards them. Because of his high fever, his lips were dry and pale. However, his gaze was as sharp as an eagle’s!

He smirked arrogantly and said, “Yellow fur, remember your promise to eat dog shit!”

F*ck the Devil’s Road. He was the demon himself!

After the whistle blew, he dashed into the rain of bullets.

Other than watching out for the bombs planted in the ground, he had to avoid the high voltage grid and pay attention to the bullets!

With his helmet as his only safety, he took a few leaps and avoided the bombs; furthermore, he dodged left and right to avoid the incoming bullets!

“015, seems like you’re going to have to eat dog shit! He’s doing pretty well.”

023 patted 015’s shoulder and said despisingly, “No way, he’s having a high fever, the game isn’t over yet!”

However, just as he said that, Lu Beixiao’s figure dashed out of the rain of bullets.
